Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga Returns from the US After a Two-Month Absence

Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga has returned to the country after an extended trip to the United States. The two-time governor has been in the US for the past two months but details regarding his trip remain scanty, reports The Standard.

Speaking during an interview with a local radio station, Governor Rasanga said he held meetings with some Kenyans living in the US during his stay there and urged them to invest in the county.

Rasanga indicated that they promised to donate medical equipment that will benefit residents of Siaya County. The equipment is expected to arrive in the country soon.

“I held meetings with some people from Siaya now living in the US and they have promised to send some equipment for the hospital,” Rasanga said.

“I asked them to bring to us investment projects that can change the lives of our people,” he added.

Rasanga’s absence during President Kenyatta’s visit to the Nyanza region at the end of May raised questions on his whereabouts. He was not present when Kenyatta launched some projects in Siaya County including Sh1.6 billion Kodiaga-Wagai-Onyinyore/Akala- Nyangweso-Muhanda road.

There were rumors that Rasanga may have traveled to the US to seek medical treatment.

The voters elected him as bad as you say he is! It is the most uninformed bunch of voters recycling the same conman over and over again because they don’t know any better.

The voters would have fired him long time ago if they knew what development looks like. It is the same thing with Abado and nearly all the rest of them from 47 counties. They are all thieves to say the least with great sadness!

While I do feel sorry for residents, I do not have any sympathy them. They will still elect another useless bustard come 2022! Well so be it @guesty👄👠🦴.

He came to USA for treatment..PERIOD.
If only they had taken the time to help all government hospitals, he won't have gone through this...
Mental enslavement... anything from the west is always better than what we have in Kenya.

@ Comrade Kora kanini, you are right. Why the secrecy though...? Being sick or dying is an inevitable fact of life. All living things will have to face this uncomfortable reality, sooner or later. And most of us wish it to be later...Hopefully with grace.
It is shameful to have to admit that after over 50 years of independence, we still run to the west for what we should already have had by now.And as you can see, this EXODUS only benefits the rich. The poor fellows are left to deal with miti shamba, and prayers. But the biggest mystery is that, even with the best medicine,no body has conquered Mr. Kifo, granted they have managed to prolong life.

Comrade Maxiley...
THE ONLY EQUALIZER IN LIFE IS DEATH.
DEATH DOESN'T CARE WHETHER YOU ARE POOR OR RICH...MIGHT AND POWERFUL.
LET'S agree on one thing...DO THE RIGHT THING TO CHANGE SOMEONE ELSE'S LIFE IN A POSITIVE WAY..because at the end, all of us are entitled to a 3 by 6 shamba.
Money is a tool for the fools....it jumps from one fool to another. USE IT WISELY.

Are there no level 5 hospitals in his area? This fools surely know how to waste public money! So, what happens to the voters I’d they all get sick like him! Move the whole county from Asiata to a hospital in America? I don’t feel sorry for whatever treatment he went to America for! It’s all about him and no body else! Shenzi!!

If jambazi Mumbi Kusoto was paid shs 10m allowance for one day ghost trip abroad means hungry billionaire Kenyans paid jambazi Rasanga shs 600m for 60 days.

Politicians fly to visit concubine, kids studying, medical, seek investors, conferences, vacation, runaway from EACC DCI heat, etc.
