DCI Sleuths in Hot Pursuit of Gang That Car-Jacked Ruaka Resident

Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives are pursuing a criminal gang linked to a spate of car-jacking incidents within Kiambu County.

On Friday, the gang allegedly waylaid a motorist as he drove to his residence in Ruaka and disappeared with his Toyota Premio.

The DCI says the victim had pulled over by the gate at Ruaka One River Apartments when three armed assailants ambushed him.

As the gate opened, the driver’s window was suddenly smashed with an iron rod before two shots were fired in the air in an attempt to subdue him.

The driver managed to force his way into the parking bay but the attackers caught up with him, roughed him up, and snatched his car keys and phone before speeding off.

On receiving the report, DCI detectives launched a hunt for the suspects and later found the stolen vehicle abandoned in Kagongo village, having been vandalized.

“Its rear and front headlights, side mirrors, all tyres, nose guard, boot, and radio had been stolen,” said DCI.

The suspects are believed to be part of a larger criminal syndicate that has been targeting taxi drivers while posing as customers, only to turn against them at isolated places, then vandalize their vehicles for sale as spare parts.

The DCI has cautioned Kenyans on this trend of crime.

Is there any reason why these misfits should not be sentenced to at least 30 years in prison, and have their families pay for their upkeep in prison?,or have some way they should pay for their upkeep. It's double punishment to society to have to feed them in prison. Another alternative in to eliminate them.

Civil Society is yet to make an impact and some are agents of foreign forces which are bent on destabilizing Africa so they(these forces) can continue to prey on our motherland. We will need to go back to the basics as in Nyumba Kumi and police ourselves. Only then can we get rid of police force as we know it.
