Deputy President William Ruto and Former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto Mend Fences

Deputy President William Ruto and former Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto appear to have buried the hatchet ahead of the 2022 election.

In a move that took many by surprise, Rutto accompanied the deputy president during his tour of Bomet County on Friday.

The two have not been seeing each other eye to eye since the dissolution of the United Republican Party (URP) in the run-up to the 2017 election.

They went separate ways in the last election, where Rutto formed his own party Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), and teamed up with the opposition coalition under the leadership of ODM leader Raila Odinga.

Rutto failed in his bid to defend the Bomet gubernatorial seat after suffering defeat in the hands of the late Joyce Laboso of the Jubilee Party.

On Friday, he was part of Bomet leaders who received Ruto ahead of his tour of the county and even joined him at a rally.

“I have come with Isaac Ruto, the man whose party symbol is gumboots. Today we will give him a Wheelbarrow, then he disassociates himself with gumboots,” Ruto said amid cheers from the crowd.

Addressing the gathering, Rutto did not confirm whether he was joining Ruto’s camp. “Have you received our visitors? All is well in Bomet. (DP) these people are saying they will give you what you want (the Presidency) and in turn give me what I want (Bomet gubernatorial position),” he said.

In response, Ruto asked the CCM leader to consider joining the hustler movement if needs to make a comeback in politics.

“People are saying you have to join them in the hustler movement. This is the only option available for you,” Ruto stated.

The two biggest enemies are back together to screw Kenyans! All Isaac Ruto is thinking is his big old Shit field tummy. The other Ruto is finding ways to get out of the ICC accountability! Kenyans are between a rock and very hard place!

Tribal politics at work! Isaac Ruto is not the sharpest cookie in the jar, and he is as expendable as the DP Ruto is. They both have no political future in Kenya!

Small mount joining big mountain for greater height. He wants to be governor again and UDA is the only highway
