Former MP Kalembe Ndile Donates 2-Acre Parcel of Land to Man Framed for Raping Daughter

Julius Wambua, the man who was framed for raping his daughter, has been gifted with a parcel of land to help him start over in life following his release from prison.

Wambua was freed last week after Machakos High Court Justice George Odunga quashed his conviction and ordered a retrial. He was released on a cash bail of Sh30,000 and an alternative bond of Sh200,000 with a surety of a similar amount pending retrial.

“The petitioner’s appeal has been considered and determined that he was accused by someone who was coached and wasn’t her own words, therefore justice must be rendered. Pw2 and Pw3 were coerced and threatened by their mother and police so as to implicate the accused over incest and coached on what to say in court. Justice didn’t happen at the time of trial since Pw2 was a minor and was under coercion by the mother” Justice Odunga ruled.

In a story aired by a local TV station last year, the man’s daughters admitted they were coached and coerced by their mother and police to finger their father of defilement.

In 2012, Kithimani principal magistrate A.W. Mwangi sentenced Wambua to life in jail after finding him guilty of defilement.

Wambua’s daughter last year filed submissions at the Machakos High Court recanting her original testimonies, saying she framed her father under instructions from her mother.

Having spent the past eight years behind bars, Wambua left Kamiti Maximum Security Prison last week but had nowhere to return as his property including land and house was sold off while in jail.

“I lost everything in the nine years I was in jail. I am now concerned about getting a place to call home,” he told Daily Nation.

Well-wishers have come to the rescue of Wambua who has since been given a two-acre piece of land, a motorbike, and other goodies.

The land was donated by former Kibwezi MP Kalembe Ndile who also offered to build him a house while the brand new motorcycle was given by Tom Musau, a Kenyan living in the UK.

This is what makes Kenya great.
The spirit of compassion even after all we are going through.
We are still Kenyans.

Phew! I was worried for a little bit that he was going back to living with the witch that set him up after he said he forgave her. It is better to forgive but not to forget. There are a few good politicians it seems and a lot of good ordinary kind hearted people.
