Court Orders Defense Team be Furnished with Uhuru, Raila Statements in Leaked CCTV Footage Case

A Nairobi court has directed the prosecution to furnish the defense team with statements from President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga in the leaked CCTV footage case.
In the case, two suspects namely Patrick Rading Ambogo and Magoma Ayonga are accused of leaking CCTV footage that captured Uhuru, Raila, and their entourage along Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi CBD in June.
Ambogo and Ayonga were charged with an unauthorized interception of computer data contrary to section 17(1) of the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crime Act.
The charge sheet read that on June 2nd at around 8 pm, the accused persons intercepted a security CCTV footage capturing Uhuru and Raila driving into the city center to inspect projects being undertaken by the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS).
Magistrate Bernard Ochoi on Tuesday directed the matter be mentioned on October 29th, when the court will give directions on the CCTV footage provided.
The accused persons were released on a cash bail of Sh10,000 or Sh30,000 bond each after they pleaded not guilty to the charge in June.
Their lawyer Danstan Omari dismissed the charge pressed against the two, stating that it does not exist in law.

The CCTV was along Kenyatta Avenue in Nairobi CBD capturing every traveler thereby, indiscriminately. It's in public domain therefore, no privacy expected and none is offered. What projects do they inspect at night?
