Woman Rep. Lydia Haika Flees After Car Hits and Kills Man along Nairobi-Mombasa Highway

Police have opened a probe into the death of a man who was hit by a car belonging to Taita Taveta Woman Representative Lydia Haika.

The middle-aged man was crushed by the speeding vehicle at Sultan Hamud area along Nairobi-Mombasa highway at around 8 pm on Tuesday, according to Citizen Digital.

Makueni police commander Ole Napeiyan said the pedestrian died on the spot.

Reports indicate Ms. Haika was onboard the car at the time of the accident and is said to have fled the scene together with a second female occupant leaving behind the government vehicle.

The car was towed to Sultan Hamud police station while the body of the deceased was moved to Kilungu Nursing Home mortuary.
