Kitui MCAs File Motion to Impeach Governor Charity Ngilu
Kitui MCAs have filed a motion for the impeachment of Governor Charity Ngilu.
The motion moved by Majority Leader Peter Mwikya Kilonzo, who represents Athi Ward, has been signed by 38 MCAs and is set to be debated next week.
The Ward Representatives are seeking to remove Governor Ngilu on the grounds of abuse of office and the misappropriation of public funds.
Ngilu is also accused of ignoring county assembly orders, among them refusing to sack county Trade minister Phillip Mumo, who allegedly used fake academic papers to secure the job.
Further to this, the MCAs allege that Ngilu ignored summons to appear before the Senate committee investigating misuse of funds by county governments.
They also say she is to blame for the deteriorating health services in the county, claiming that hospitals lack drugs despite the assembly allocating enough funds for the same.
Ngilu’s ouster motion comes barely two weeks after her Kirinyaga counterpart Anne Waiguru was impeached over alleged gross misconduct, abuse of office and gross violation of the constitution.
Waiguru’s fate will be decided by an 11-member Senate Committee, which has until June 25th to investigate her impeachment and table a report in the house.

What you see here with Waiguru and Ngilu is the underhanded work of DP Ruto and his henchmen trying to impeach the women governors who have politically disagreed with Ruto.
Ruto is the greatest thief ever known in Kenya and now he is using the Arrow/kimurer dams stolen money to destabilize women. Ruto must be impeached and be thrown into political dustbin. He is a useless man!

Ruto’s leprosy needs to be controlled (hopefully cut) before it spreads across the divide. He has already infected Sudi, Nurkomen, Faith Gitau, cheap minded Kihika, mad looking Wahome, Kuria the drunkard, Sonko and Waititu the colossal thieves, Ichungwa the idiot, and a few more with very small names. All those infected by Ruto are fellow thieves who have stole all the county funds and are finding a home with the high priest of corruption!
