Kenya's Covid-19 Cases to Hit 10,000 by End of April, Government Says

The number of coronavirus cases in Kenya is projected to hit 10,000 by the end of April 2020, according to the Health Ministry.
In a media briefing on Monday, the ministry’s Director-General Dr. Patrick Amoth said they expect to have about 1,000 infections in the first week of April and 5,000 in mid-April.
“We postulate that we could have 1,000 cases by the first week of April, 5,000 by mid-April and 10,000 by end of April,” said Amoth.
More than 2,000 people who are presently under quarantine in different facilities are yet to be tested. Amoth said the government can only test 300 samples in a day at the moment but they are working to increase the capacity.
“We are working to ensure Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) comes up by end if this week,” he added.
On Monday, the Ministry of Health announced the confirmation of eight new cases of Covid-19, bringing the total tally to 50. Six of the cases were recorded in Nairobi while Mombasa and Kitui registered one each.
Nairobi County has the highest cases with 37 followed by Kilifi (6), Mombasa (4), while Kajiado, Kwale, and Kitui have one case each.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the virus is no longer being imported from abroad.
“This means the virus is now being spread through community transmission and it calls for more personal responsibility,” CS Kagwe said.

1. You forgot to add 70,000 police officers to your estimation.
More than 80% of Kenyans have no access to clean drinking water.
2. WHO needs to clarify does dirty water kill Corona virus??(By dirty, I mean cholera causing , dysentery causing and diarrhea causing water.)
3. As for soap, can dirty water and soap kill corona virus?
These are questions that need answers.

@Guest, you are too negative, to the extent that you do not see anything positive, even when it is right before your eyes. Note times one, two, or however many times... You don't need clean water, which has been verified by Guest, GoK, or any Public Health Officials, to clean your hands. You just need an Alcohol based Sanitizer to rub your hands with, because it has been proven Scientifically to kill all germs. This is not Rocket Science, and it works, as evidenced in South Korea, and Hong Kong. Don't take Kenyan Politics about failure to chlorinate water to make it safe for drinking, or to sink boreholes to get clean water, to the WHO. They don't owe Kenya, or Kenyans, anything.

1. WHO and the whole world will be told the truth that majority of Kenyans don’t have clean drinking water- most have no taps and majority of those who have taps have no water in those taps.
2. Where exactly are they supposed to get alcohol based sanitizer?

1. The Government is providing free alcohol based Sanitizers made from alcohol confiscated by various Government departments, and Kenya Breweries is distributing it free of charge.
2. The primary responsibility of getting clean drinking water, and sanitation, falls on an Individual, not the Government. There are always alternatives, but you may not be able to see them, if you are waiting for someone else to come and wash your hands for you.

God help Kenya. What country wishes and estimates death and destruction of its citizens?? No other country in Africa has done so. Let the 400 years of imperialism, colonialism and slavery come to an end.
Let "thy will be done on earth as is in heaven "
May the God of our forefathers scatter Kenya's enemies both from within and from without and may all their evil intentions engulf those enemies.
May God forgive and spare his people. God save all Kenyans and Africans both in Africa and in the Diaspora.

Our government allowed Mt Kenya to be defiled with a foreign dirty flag!! Let us wait for God's judgment as we are in the book of Revelations in the bible. These are the times.
As foretold tens of thousands will fall and God will protect his people.
How many are still able to fly into Kenya in private planes if we could allow them to fly a dirty flag on top of Mt Kenya.
May God take the power of those who defiled Mt Kenya and scatter their planned and unplanned evil intentions.
God save Kenya and Africans both in Africa and in the Diaspora!!

Kenya need to work differently. Anyone who can and is able to grow their own food, please do so; anyone who knows how to make clothes or shoes do so. Women, if you must ware fake hair, support tha lady from Western Kenya who was making hair from sisal.
Start asking what our forefathers did to survive, that is where we are headed. Look for natural herbal healing that our forefathers used. No more dependency. God is renewing the world. Change and the great divide is here. That is where the world is heading and cannot be stopped. This will be the new normal. Prepare and get used to it!! No more Masters and no more slaves. 400 years of slavery are over.
