Uhuru Will Not Hand over Power to a Thief, David Murathe Says

President Uhuru will not hand over power to a thief in 2022, former Jubilee Party Chairman David Murathe has said.

Speaking at a Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) forum at Kinoru Stadium in Meru on Saturday, Murathe said Uhuru was keen to leave the country in safe hands.

“Hatutauziwa uoga, Uhuru hataachia mwizi kiti (we will not succumb to threats, Uhuru will not hand over power to a thief),” said Murathe, a close ally of Kenyatta.

Although Murathe did not mention who the thief is, it is believed he was speaking about Deputy President William Ruto.

Murathe is a fierce critic of DP Ruto and has in the past vowed to ensure he does not ascend to power. Last year, Murathe said he resigned as the ruling party’s Chairman to start a movement that would block Ruto from succeeding Uhuru in 2022.

“There are a lot of leaders from across the political divide who shares my sentiments within and outside jubilee. Going forward, the Stop Ruto movement which we are going to start let them assemble their troops and we are going to form ours,” said Murathe.

“Some of us are generally scared. If they can behave like this when they are number two what would happen if they ever become number one. We have a problem with an individual… a character who we believe is not suitable for that office,” he added.

Murathe., Please focus that energy in ensuring mwananchi gets food on the table. That energy should be focused on fighting corruption and ensuring we have a functioning Juduciary. Last I checked we have lots of corruption cases Jubliee thief and the BUCK stops with your PRESIDENT UHURU. Stop all this nonsense and subliminal threats. You have one VOTE and you can choose what to do with it. I will vote for RUTO Kama Mbaya mbaya. At least Kama he is a thief he takes it back to church. The clouds are quickly getting thicker by the day! The spiraling winds are strongly engulfing Ruto by the hour.

A known thief should never take over the reigns of power; and Uhuru has vowed not to pass the reigns of power to Ruto!

Uhuru must hand over power to whomever is elected by the public whether Uhuru thinks he is fit or not. It is not for Uhuru to decide. It is for the Kenyans to decide. Kenyans decided to give Uhuru power; Kenyans will decide whom they will give power to next.

You do not pass on power to a greedy wolf! Someone has to stand up to save Kenya from the ignorant voters who have been mentally brainwashed by the corrupt elements to think that corruption is a normal way of life.

I support the idea of arresting and locking up a thief should one be elected by the ignorant poor masses!

You can destroy a nation by just saying that it ok because someone has been elected by fools!

If you think kenyans are the ones deciding who is president, my fren you need to wake up. If the voters were choosing the president, Raila would have been president in the last 2 elections having the most votes by a wide margin. Your vote is just a charade to fool you that you're living in a democracy. The server is programmed to pick the president they want.

It is not a matter of uhuru handing over power but rather him leaving office which the constitution dictates he must.10 years of greed corruption and nepotism from these mpigs is ending soon.We will elect the next president do not impose your choice on us.Hopefully it is neither Ruto or Raila or any one from either of these parties .Wajinga sisi will redeem ourselves and change our titles to Werevu tumefaulu once we succeed
