University of Nairobi Lecturer Arrested after 13-Year-Old Son's Decomposing Body is Found in Her House

A University of Nairobi (UoN) lecturer has been arrested after the lifeless body of her son was found at her house in Nairobi’s South B area.

The decomposing body of the 13-year-old boy was found wrapped in a blanket inside their house in Kifaru Estate, South B.

Police were called to the scene after neighbors smelled a stench emanating from the house belonging to Anna Khahugan, a nursing lecturer at UoN.

Nairobi Police Commander Philip Ndolo said Ms. Anna was found hiding in the kitchen after officers broke down the door and entered the house.

“The suspect was in the house at the time. We are investigating the incident,” said Ndolo.

She reportedly told police that her son fell ill in the house but her religious beliefs do not allow them to seek medical treatment, according to Citizen Digital.

Ms. Anna is currently being held at Industrial Area Police Station as investigations into the death of the boy continue.

A saying goes...if you cannot do it, teach it.
How many PHD/Masters holders teach what they have failed at? Guys with Masters of entrepreneurship have started several, not one, businesses, and failed at it over and over...yet they teach entrepreneurship at higher learning institutions?
Bottom line, this is a case of a mentally sick woman, period. Whether the child died naturally or she killed the child, she's mentally sick....very sick!

Of all people a nursing lecturer! One of the worst child abuse cases I have read... Well that's the problem with blind faith. It does not follow logic.
Yes I know some especially christian will disagree with me,but prayers dont work,at least heal the sick.If they did,we would not have all those patients in hospitals, would we?
I believe that Jehovah witness do not allow blood trasfusion for their sick.Do they offer a viable alternative?NO.
Probably the boy was sick from a non threatening disease if treated.Yes Iam mindful that despite the intervention of modern medicine people still die,but YES, if Iam suffering from malaria,I will take chloroquine, mefloquine,or quinine before I pray.
The lecturer may be an academician, but that does not relate to better judgment,in this case. She probably have a mental issue. How else can you explain her behavior. If the neighbors had not smelled the death-odor,what was she planning to do with the body?
Ido not know what her faith is but if it has many followers,I would urge them to rethink their position on their beliefs.

Perhaps it may not be a true illness! I suspect she murdered her own teenage boy for one reason or the other. He rationale defies logic based on her career. She just doesn’t want to say she killed him!

I don't get it. She is a nursing lecturer yet her faith doesn't allow her to take her son to hospital? How can she teach what she is against?

I am thinking....a mother who loses a child she loves dearly, goes into mental shock followed by denial. She puts her son’s body wrapped up in a blanket, hoping that it is a bad dream and he (the son) will wake up. Some people do not handle the deaths of loved ones very sanely.

Be wary of those people who go to ukambani churches saying they are going to fast. They call one famous fasting place katoleni. There is nothing like fasting at katoleni its a cult and evil worship. Who said God cannot hear you if you decide to fast in muranga or thika or kirinyaga ngai thathaiya ngai Thai like our fore fathers
