Body of Missing Kenyan-Based Billionaire Tob Cohen Found

Detectives have recovered the body of Kenyan-based Dutch billionaire Tob Cohen, who went missing nearly two months ago.

His body was found dumped inside a septic tank at his home in Kitisuru, Nairobi on Friday, according to Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti.

On Thursday, the prosecution pressed murder charges against Cohen’s Kenyan estranged wife Sarah Wairimu but the court directed that she undergo a mental health test before taking plea.

Ms. Wairimu is alleged to have killed the billionaire businessman on the night of 19th and 20th, July 2019 within Nairobi County jointly with others not before the court, according to the charge sheet.

Ms. Wairimu, who is the prime suspect, was arrested on August 28th and interrogated at the DCI headquarters.

She was arraigned in court and detained for 12 days to allow the conclusion of investigations into Cohen’s disappearance.

Cohen, a tour and travel tycoon who has lived in Kenya since 1987, is reported to have gone missing between July 19th and July 20th this year.

Before his disappearance, Cohen and Ms. Wairimu were embroiled in a bitter divorce case involving a multi-million-shilling property.

On July 12th, 2019, the Dutch tycoon filed an assault case against his estranged wife, where he cited continuous harassment and denial of his conjugal rights.

“On February 5, 2019, Sarah Wairimu Kamotho stormed in our client’s home office and threw a glass of water aimed at the face of our client and threatened him,” read court papers filed by Musyoki Mogaka & Co. Advocates on behalf of Mr. Cohen.

“Around midnight, as he was standing on top of the stairs leading to the garden, Sarah suddenly pushed him downstairs, causing our client to fall and seriously injure his forehead,” court papers read.

Wairimu has no children from her marriage to the late Cohen.

Wow. Do they still hang murderers in Kenya? Capital punishment ought to be thriving in Kenya because evil people (and they are many) like this woman have no value for human life

Finally, the family of the late can have closure to what happened to Mr. Cohen.
Ms. Wairimu if proven guilty should slowly and painfully have her fingers cut one by one till bleeds to death!

Why, oh why?! If love is gone...just vacate. The woman did not even have kids to inherit. Unyama mtupu. Waste of life and heartless. I hope (if she had a hand in this) she will get what is due to her. Ibilisi mkubwa!

We cannot blame a whole people based on the actions of Wambui and Wairimu, evil women come in all shapes, sizes, color, age and they are everywhere in the world. No one has a right to take another's life. I guess she and her collaborators thought that as long as everything is kept within the palatial home they are safe and sound to enjoy the fruits of this man's sweat.
By the sweat of your brow shall you eat, not by hitmen! It would seem that this man worked pretty hard to get his wealth only for "delilah" to cut him off his hard earned retirement. It's so sad that one would put another in a poop tank. No human being would do that, that is pure evil! The stories she concocted make her guilty in my eyes, perhaps she would have looked better had she said nothing. In my Kangaroo court she is already guilty.

I have watch many documentaries of what the perpetrators thought to be perfect crimes. There is no such a thing as a perfect crime there will always be a mistake or a chatterbox.

I guess Langata women's prison and onward to Kamiti maximum is a far cry from the palatial home.
