List of 85 Kenyan MPs, Senators, MCAs on Extravagant US Trip

The names of all the 85 MPs, MCAs and parliamentary staff who traveled to the US for a legislative summit have been revealed.

The names were published by Daily Nation after ODM leader Raila Odinga raised alarm over the huge cost taxpayers will pay for the delegation’s trip.

The group is in the US to represent Kenya in the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Kenyan delegation is the largest amongst the countries represented in the US conference followed by Nigeria with 20 representatives, Daily Nation reported. Most other countries sent between one and six legislators to represent them.

In a statement, Odinga said he “finds no justification at all in Parliament and county assemblies sending such a huge delegation on a mission where a handful could come back with a report.”

Odinga added that this trip was evidence that “these institutions have money they do not know what to do with, or they simply don’t care about the burden taxpayers are bearing.”

It seems the Kiambu County is not represented. The take home amount might not be worth the deal for Kiambuians. Money is in the Tenders.

Hata Orengo and Murkomen? Mutula Kilonzo the pretender of suffering Wanjiku? Kieleweke and Tangatanga well represented. We never heard of any in fighting in the plane as these joy riders headed to America. Kweli, PUNGUZA MZIGO is the only way out of this mess. Hata clerks and cooks to bring them chai.

Genge la wezi. Wezi barubaru.

What is the hall capacity where they will be holding those fake conference? People from other countries will not get seats because Kenya will fill all the seats.

Give us a tally of how much was spent in flight, accomodation and give us how much time it will take to recover these monies. Mind you there are no experts any more in anything. You can Google and do research in whatever you are traveling for. What kind of legislative summit is this. Each country has it's own issues pertaining to it's own citizenry. While the west is dealing with legistrative issues about homosexuality, gun control and domestic terrorism, we have no such issues. The west are experts in their own countries.
And instead of sending 85, why not pay for a few to come to Kenya and teach all or you all know it's not about learning anything, it's about misusing Mwananchi.
This is corruption of the highest order. Anyone on this list should not be elected for another term.
They are a list of shame, not a sense of pride.
Kenya needs people who look from within and not without!!!

These are high crimes being committed by these conmen. Why do you need to send over eighty five people to a conference? Pure con games as usual. The country is already broke. They should be forced to refund the taxpayers money to the public coffers. So much corruption. No end in sight. Corrupt officials. Corrupt government.

Would it not have been cheaper to fly relevant speakers to kenya. At a later date,or do some teleconferencing.
Again from all the expenses what are tax payers getting?

This week it was also revealed that MCAs pocketed over 8mil.sjillings for a conference they never attended. Worse, they has fake stamps on their documents to apparently fool the public.
Could some of these crooks have made it to USA.?

No wonder Kenyan citizens are suffering Cause of stupid decisions like this. All this politicians are thinking about themselves and their families they don't care what happens to common mwanaichi. It's time my fellow Kenyan we wake up and fight for our rights. Stop electing people who don't do anything for you. Otherwise you will be suffering forever.
