US Closely Watching Kenya's War on Corruption, Ambassador Kyle McCarter Says

The United States has pledged to continue supporting Kenya in the war against corruption.

New Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter says the US is keeping an eye on high-profile political and business leaders linked to corruption.

McCarter says the US Embassy is also keeping close tabs on investigations and prosecutions of persons accused of graft.

“In fact, on my desk, I keep a copy of the printed list of all investigations currently ongoing,” says McCarter.

Speaking during a meeting of editors in Nairobi, McCarter has also challenged Kenyans to stand up against corruption.

“I will stand firm against corruption and impunity and so must you,” he adds.

President Kenyatta's administration has revamped its anti-graft push with the appointment of new Chief Public Prosecutor, Noordin Haji, and Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti.

In their first few months in office, the two have instituted criminal charges against dozens of civil servants and business people.

Deputy Chief Justice (DCJ) Philomena Mwilu, former National Land Commission chairman Muhammad Swazuri, Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong, former Sports CS Hassan Wario, and former Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Lilian Mbogo-Omollo are among high-profile individuals who have been charged over corruption.

The New Ambassador can see through that fake laugh. See the way he is serious while the looto is laughing. The man has been briefed and has CIA notes showing that the country is being looted mercilessly.

As Ambassador "I keep a copy of the printed list of all investigations currently going on"
As who? American ambassador(guest) or governor?
Same old situation. Comes in as a guest, behaves like a governor/ colonizer.
By the time Kenyan elections are here, the Ambassador will be telling us who is corrupt and who is not. He will also be telling us what Kenyans want. Kenyan needs new leaderships that is able to set boundaries for these colonizers and how they should behave as guests.
