Dr. William Ruto: Deputy President Finally Graduates with PhD from University of Nairobi

Deputy President William Ruto has finally graduated with a doctorate degree from the University of Nairobi (UoN).

Ruto has been awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Plant Ecology by the Nairobi institution

He enrolled for the programme at UoN in August 2012 and has graduated after his thesis titled "Influence of human activities on land use changes on environmental quality of riparian ecosystems: A case study of Saiwa Swamp watershed, Western Kenya" was approved by the university's senate in September this year.

Ruto didn't make it to the graduation in 2016 after failing to meet the necessary requirements.

Incidentally, his graduation comes as a triple celebration as it coincides with his birthday as well as his wedding anniversary. Ruto was born on December 21st, 1966 and married his wife Rachael Ruto on December 21st, 1991.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Botany and Zoology and a postgraduate degree in Plant Ecology from the same institution.

President Kenyatta has attended the graduation ceremony at UoN main campus in Nairobi.

Matiangi is a fraud also.

Several people from all Kenyan universities need to go to jail for selling academic credentials.

The universities in Kenya are destroying kenya education.

All the vice-chancellors and office of registar need to be replaced.

All the teaching staff need to be audited.

Several people need to go to jail.

Majority of Kenyan phD’s are purchased from Kenyan universities.

You can even purchase a masters and a regular degree in Kenya .. Certificate without Knowledge. This criminal activity of fraudulent education credentials has been going on in Kenya for the past 10 years or more.

William Ruto and his PhD are just evidence of what has been going on in Kenyan universities for the past 10 years.
He is not the only one with real certificate without knowledge or putting in work.

This scam has been going on for a long time.

We need secession.

Ningependa kujua, Je, makamu huyu wa rais alipata nafasi kutoka wapi ya kuhudhuria masomo, kupita mitihani ya shahada ya uzamivu (PhD), kufanya utafiti, kuandika tasnifu (thesis), kwenda makanisani kutoa hongo, kumsaidia Uhuru kuitawala nchi?

Hivi majuzi nilimsikia akisema wakulima wapande miparachichi (avocado trees).

Congratulation Dr. Ruto. You have demonstrated that there is plenty of time that we wasted, that could be put into good use. Besides your day job what you do at your own time is what sets you apart from the crowd.
Show me what you do during your free time and I will show you success or failure.
You have also demonstrated the value of education having humbled yourself to pursue what many in the Kenyan society mistakenly consider as a means to an end-riches. Many would wonder loudly why a DP would go to the pains of becoming a DR. (jokingly many would rather add a slash to the P to make R). But you Sir, chose the unbeaten path to work when most of us were busy sampling "happy hours" after work. This also serves as an example to our young men and women who are only interested in "luxuries" and no work. Another section wonder where you go the time from to study with your busy schedule. Not knowing they themselves have wasted sufficient time to make the renown scholars. Another misconception is that people up the food chain have no time. They do have plenty of time to themselves (if they chose to) more than a person who typically works 8-5pm, more than a businessman who has customers in mind all day. And to doubting thomas out, the fact that you cannot do it or someone said it cannot be done, or no one has done it so far does not mean it cannot be done-DP has just busted that myth. Actually more leaders need to go back to school than they are currently doing-introduce mini study leaves for those elected leaders who want to better themselves part-time at their free time and cost.
