Two Kenyan University Students Secure Boeing's Internships in the US

Two female Kenyan students have been selected for a six-month internship program by giant American aerospace company Boeing International.

The two, Aogah Winnie Achieng and Monica Nyawira Kang’uru, have been chosen to join Boeing's International Business Internship Program (IBIP), which was launched in 2012.

Ms. Achieng and Ms. Kang'uru will get the opportunity to work alongside Boeing employees in Seattle, US during the training that starts from January 2019.

Ms. Achieng and Ms. Kang'uru are students at Moi University and University of Nairobi, studying business management (Aviation) and economics respectively.

“I am excited for them to start in January, it’s a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience, not only in a new country but also at the world’s largest aerospace company,” says Boeing’s director of International Sales for Commercial Airplanes in Africa Miguel Santos.

The two will be provided with US-based full paid work experience during the six-month training.
