Court Rejects NYS Suspect Ann Ngirita's Appeal for Adjournment, Orders Probe into Her Medical Records

The judge presiding over the case on multi-million shilling National Youth Service (NYS) scandal has rejected an appeal by one of the suspects to have the case adjourned.

The accused person, Ann Wanjiku Wambere Ngirita, had made an application seeking to have the case adjourned to allow her seek specialized medical treatment at Mater Hospital in Nairobi.

In his ruling, Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogoti has directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to investigate Ms Ngirita's medical records. It remains unknown what the suspect is suffering from.

The businesswoman is accused of receiving Sh60 million from the National  Youth Service after supplying nothing.

Sixteen suspects in the case, including former NYS Director General Richard Ndubai and former Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Lillian Omollo, were freed on bail after their sureties were approved.

Ann, together with three members of her family including her mother Lucy Wambui and brother Jeremiah Gichini, are said to have received into their bank accounts - a combined Sh226 million looted from the youth agency.

They received the cash through their companies listed as Ngiwaco, Waluko, Njewanga, Jerrycathy Enterprises and Annwaw.

If Kenya start executing people who loot the government the whole of Ngirita family will be executed. That is why do involve the family members in criminal activities.

All branches of government would have 100% vacancies, casket makers would be rejoicing, funeral business would be booming and professional mourners would be obese. Boy!!! Kenya would be great again.🙏🏿🙏🏿
