Declare Your Stand on DP William Ruto's 2022 Presidential Bid, Rift Valley Elders Ask President Uhuru

Rift Valley Council of Elders have challenged President Kenyatta to declare his stand on Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

Speaking in Nakuru, the elders, led by their patron Gilbert Kabage, demanded that the President declare whether he will keep his promise of supporting Ruto's candidature in the next elections.

The elders said they were concerned by the growing cracks in the ruling Jubilee party, noting that President Uhuru's declaration on backing Ruto would help quell the tensions.

“We challenge President Uhuru Kenyatta to come out clear and say whether he still supports Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid. Does he still support him or has he changed his mind?” asked Kabage.

They also raised concerns over reports that some senior State House officials are plotting to scuttle the Deputy President's state house ambitions.

Also present was, Joel Koech (vice-chairman), Peter Charagu (secretary), and John Kahato (organising secretary), among others.

“To calm the storm that threatens to tear apart the Jubilee Party, we request the President to give details of the ‘handshake’ between him and the former prime minister,” said Charagu.

The elders also urged leaders from the Rift eying the Presidency to shelve their bids and rally behind Ruto.

“We urge all leaders, including Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, to unanimously support Ruto, who is the Rift Valley political kingpin and is a stone’s throw from the presidency. We need not gamble with this chance,” said Joel Koech, an elder.

These Wazee should wait till 2022. Let president finish his second term encumbered by all these distractions on where he stands on 2022 elections. There is still time for that.

I get this feeling that this Ruto's 2022 bid is being overplayed and someone or some group is trying to ram it down our throats, or else...now, I don't like to be addressed in such manner especially when I know that what I do with my vote is my own right. Ruto's cohort need to find better tactics to win my vote.

Mheshimiwa Gilbert Kabage: AMKA KUMEKUCHA!

Kenya ina mataifa madogo 44.

Hell to the NO! Our country's leadership will not be determined by a handful of individuals but rather the majority of us. For those asking diasporans to show patriotism for their country, hebu give us a chance to vote. We have a right to vote.

Good move elders. It's time to explain this so called "Handshake" or clearly the government of "Nusu Mkate". We can all see and smell "Nusu Mkate". Uhuru was elected, but his opponent now is representing him. We all ask, as who? Do we have a Prime Minister? Do we have a parallel government? Do we have two deputies? Do we have more than one Minister of foreign affairs? Do we have two Vice Presidents? Kenyans are waiting to know. Almost a year after elections the government representatives don't know who is who and who is responsible for what. We are still dancing and some campaigning and some shaking hands. What a confused society. We need to get rid of these confused Dynasties come 2022 by voting them all out thereby forcing them to retire. God help Kenya!!

Mr. President, you're the problem and your worst enemy. Once you secured your victory which was almost stolen, you should have hit the ground running-working hard to accomplish your agenda for the nation. But you got hijacked by Raila and now you're shipwrecked 4 years into your second term. Its no secret that you and your DP no longer read from the same script. You veered off the course and Kenyans are afraid none of the agenda items will ever come to fruition. You have followed Raila blindly since the insincere handshake. Please remember that Raila is a political conman and whatever he has promised you, will have a tragic end.He relishes nothing more than being able to disgrace and embarrass you someday. Starting politics and campaigns this early was a great mistake. You and Raila told us that you're uniting the country but the truth of the matter is, you're dividing the country and creating anxiety in the nation. Mr. President ask yourself, where is NASA today? You'll be next. You should believe in yourself.

The president doesn’t have to say anything. Why are they speaking about 2022 like they hold the future? Also what’s funny and goes to tell you that Kenya is so divided, these elders speak for their own not for Kenya. So if I were Uhuru, I won’t say a word. If you asked me, these are the typical tribalism that Kenya is going through until this old generation and the next passes by. If you were truly elders with wisdom, you will speak and campaign for whoever fits to run.

Who are these busybodies and who do they represent?Who told them that jambazi Uhuru directs others who to vote for? It's better for them to know that Jambazi Ruto's election depends on wheather muuaji Raila will run for presidency the same reason Uhuru was elected.Bloody revolution is the best option for Kenyans and all these thugs/misleaders plus their immediate families must face the firing squad to make sure that none of them claims their loot.

Lame duck President has realised this fact too late. Unless Uhuru does something drastic or consequential, his time is officially up. The hyenas are already lining up to their next master
