I'll Be On the Ballot for 2022 Presidential Elections, Kalonzo Declares

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has declared he will be on the ballot for 2022 presidential race.

Speaking during the unveiling of new Wiper party headquarters in Nairobi, Kalonzo said he will not agree to back any other candidate for the country's top seat.

The party leadership vowed to rally behind Musyoka and traverse all corners of the country to sell his candidature.

Wiper chairman and Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana said the party was concerned with Raila Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) announcement that it will field a presidential candidate in the next elections.

“We want to know if the remarks made by Joho were on behalf of the ODM party. If his remarks represent the party’s stand, then ODM has contravened an agreement made in 2017 where the party was not supposed to present a presidential candidate in 2022,” Kibwana said.

Kalonzo also declared support for President Kenyatta’s order for a lifestyle on all public officers in the war against graft and urged Parliament to create a legal framework to facilitate the wealth scrutiny.

“We support calls for an immediate lifestyle audit of all top public and State officers. To actualise this, we propose the establishment of a legal framework to guide the process of the lifestyle audit to ensure no one escapes scrutiny. Once this framework is in place, international audit firms should be involved to work closely with local agencies,” he said.

“While we support the ongoing fight against corruption in public offices, we call on investigating agencies to expand the dragnet to cover private sector actors involved in the complex web of corruption in Kenya,” he said.

A journey filled with futility. Find something else to do Kalonzo. Let others compete for Presidency in 2022.

Kalonzo, you have no stand. You should have run for the top job right after the Vice Presidency position that you held. Now it's too late. ICC is international, after seven years it came up with nothing. Find local audit firms to do the job. The change must start with our leaders. Once we give you the top job, you will be calling international advisors to run the country because you cannot trust yourself or Kenyans.

Mr. Kalonzo, involving international agents to solve our corruption problem creates more headaches. First, our problem is domestic not foreign. Second, by crying out abroad for help; we declare our ineptness in dealing with our own issues. And what about our independence and self-determination? Perhaps, we should involve muti-faucet approach.Engage more than on firm for each audit. Have the auditors sign an affidavit of truthfulness under penalty of perjury and rise the penalty level for those caught corrupting the anti corruption process. Even include a covert operation behind the scenes to nab the criminal elements. The point is, we must believe in ourselves and learn to solve our own problems at home. There is no international solution for Kenyan problems.

May the Lord guide your quest to liberate the country from poverty, disease and illiteracy. Your candidature, as a leader who is not tainted and has experience, is what we need to continue from where UK will have reached.
May the lord bring into a reality.

blessings always
