Opposition leader Raila Odinga on Tuesday morning paid a visit to ailing businessman Chris Kirubi, who recently returned to the country after traveling to the United States to receive specialized treatment.
Odinga, who was accompanied by his lawyer Paul Mwangi, visited the billionaire at his residence in Nairobi's Loresho estate.
"This morning I visited Chris Kirubi who has recently returned from overseas where he had gone for medical treatment. It was great to see him in high spirits and we wish him all the best as he continues with his recovery," Raila said in a social media post.
Taking to Twitter, Kirubi thanked the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader for visiting him, adding that it was time for all Kenyans to work together towards a better nation.
"Earlier today my friend RailaOdinga paid me a courtesy call at my home. I am proud that he wants to leave a legacy of a united Kenya. It is time we work together towards a better nation," Kirubi tweeted.
The tycoon jetted back to the country in March after receiving specialized treatment for a yet to be disclosed ailment in the US for six months. In the photos posted on Odinga's online walls, the billionaire businessman, who is in his seventies, appears frail.

When Kirubi dies Tomorrow or Later I know for SURE some IDIOTS (if not BASTARDS) will be Blaming his Death on Raila "the Murderer". It wikI look as if Raila is the One who Killed Tom Mboya,JM Kariuki, Njenga Karume, John Michuki, George Saitoti, John Nkaissery,Chris Msando, Kenneth Matiba and the Total Murderer himself the Nicholas Biwott (to name but a Few). Hot air, Hot air!!, Hot air!!! Bure Kabisa.
You just lack empathy and sympathy. This is a sick person and you base your hate towards him from the rumors that have been spread about him. Siku yako itafika tu.
Karing'a seems to be Out of his Medication; the AntiDepressants. He sounds to be in Withdrawals.
I love how we advocate for a bloody revolution from a safe distance in cyberspace. Don't get me wrong, most leaders in Kenya are not worth the paper their names are written on....unless you don't have any relatives in Kenya, be careful what you wish for...ask the Lybians, Iraqis, Yemenis and Southern Sudanese. Once the bloodbath begins, there's no way to predict the length, direction and intensity.
You don't know what you are talking about. Kenya is far from being ripe for a revolution. Just Google Lenin's essay "The collapse of the second international" and read chapter 1l the fourth paragraph for the definition of a situation ripe for revolution. The paragraph begins: "To the Marxist....."
god Raila can only leave a good legacy if he resurrect all those people he has killed in his quest for presidency.Na wewe GUEST 1,only MASHOGA will weep when jambazi Kirubi dies. But i hope that both Kirubi,Raila plus other thugs will wait for pumping of bullets in their heads.
Karing'a FYM: Your Uthamaki stole Raila's Presidency in 2007, 2013, and 2017. So stop you Lying Pocker Face.
There are people who thrive by hurting others all their lives. They are everywhere, in majuu and Kenya. People have been looting our resources since I was 15 years old, denying the poor simple things like drugs in govt hospitals and educational materials. Nepotism, corruption, assassinations, ethnic clashes etc has really affected so many todate. But where are those people who perpetuated all these to innocent? They hurt huh? But where and how are they now? People who kill you not from the barrel of a gun, but by destroying you financially or ruining your life in many ways. For instance, During the 2007/2008 PEV, Kenyans from Texas, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Missouri, Minnesota etc, called ICE on their fellow country men. Painful huh? A company predator called DMV Shipping LLC owned by a dude called William Ng;anga Macharia, from Laurel, Maryland, formed a habit of disappearing with clients cargo and payments. Most lost most or all their cargo. Painful huh. And bra bra bra. What do you do? Wish them well. Forgive them and but never forget. Don't judge them. Leave them to God. Don't be too harsh on them. So lets wish anybody suffering quick recovery. As for me, I wish all, including Mr Kirubi well. Just saying
Sasa Jothebu,
I didn't even know about the dude disappearing with the stuff coz I almost gave him my stuff apeleke home...
I gave the dude my stuff and paid him. On arrival, he was claiming more even after several of my valuables were looted at a private residence-cum-storage. Pew! Never heard of him again two years later.
If it the same arrogant William Macharia that once lost all the cargo from my neighbor, let him burn in hell.
You surely do have a bone to pick with William Nganga, DMV...kwani alilala na bibi yako? I don’t know the guy but I have noticed couple times you have made attempts at disparaging his name. Grow up!
Wtf He stated exactly what happened!bibi anakujia wapi? You grow up!
Does anyone know of a good reliable shipping company that does not loot people's stuff?
Ask around. Don't be preyed upon on adverts from Mwakilishi, diaporamessenger etc. That's how a friend of mine lost it all from DMV Shippping. Choose to pay on delivery after counter-checking that all your stuff are intact.
@jothebu u pay evil with evil as the bible N ugikuyu tells us.Unles u come out of public n confess the evils u have done or bin involved then the public will forgive u but if u don’t if u fell ill or die most will b celebrating n will continue to wish all your family to follow u into yr grave.Hii story’s za mafeelings za kuforgive the evil pple r hogwash??As maringa said raila was involved in many deaths from 82 trying to overthrow the gava,07/08 bloodshed/2013 all to b in power n u think we will wish him well.Israel other day killed 50 Palestine’s coz israel has bin stealing Palestine land??U want Palestine to wish them well??Usa invaded Iraq n Libya killed innocent women n kids destroyed their economies no food,no roads,no schools,no water.N u want them to forgive n wish them well????Life is karma n it will come back to bite the evils anybody any country has done to others.
Watu waache matusi hayana fainda
It's heartbreaking when one so fiscally able is afflicted by something that money cannot fight. But that's the reality that each one of us will have to confront sooner or later. We need to humble ourselves to God and to each other even as the Masters of the rat race continue to urge us on to greater profits. My heart goes out to gentleman Kirubi. I wish him well.
Why do journalists take these thugs as important people-ati billinaire, tycoon others former PRIME MINISTER,ENG etc?Time is ripe for a bloody revolution in Kenya.Bloody because all the elite gangsters will have to face the firing squad. The above two will lead the group.
