Mike Sonko Nominates Miguna Miguna as Nairobi Deputy Governor
Governor Mike Sonko has reportedly nominated Miguna Miguna as the new Nairobi Deputy Governor.
Reports indicate that Sonko forwarded the name of the self-declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) to the County Assembly Beatrice Elachi on Wednesday for vetting and approval.
In the letter, the Star reports, Sonko said Miguna satisfied the requirements stated in the Constitution for the position, which fell vacant after the resignation of Polycarp Igathe.
“I hereby forward my nominee, Lawyer Miguna Miguna to undergo full vetting process and approval by the County Assembly for the position of Deputy Governor,” reads part of the letter.
“The nominee meets all the requirements provided for in the Constitution, the Leadership and Integrity Act, the Elections Act and County Government Act.”
Some weeks ago, Sonko said that the next Nairobi Deputy Governor was going to be a well-educated woman from the Kikuyu community.
Miguna had been scheduled to fly back to the country on Wednesday, but canceled the trip after Immigration Department declined to issue him with a Kenyan passport.

Miguna Miguna and Sonko cannot work together. Remember Miguna refer to Sonko as drug dealer, jail-bird, convict, mapipa and other names. Miguna with all his Luo pride cannot take orders from semi-illiterate Sonko. Sonko will not finish his term as governor of Nairobi. That is one step towards the door.

Sonko must be over looking the citizen issue by stating that" miguna meets all the requirement".Unless DG does not have to be a Kenyan...
Anyway, as erratic as Miguna appears to be, Iwould have to agree with you @Kenya.May be Miguna's firebrand disposition is what in needed as acatalyst to some of the changes Sonko has to do to beautify Nairobi.

Miguna Miguna is Replica of Barrack Obama Senior (Barrack Obama's late Father): FireBrand, Prideful, Arrogannt No-Nonsense, No Mincing of Words, Erratic (as mentioned), and you name it. Ha, ha, ha!! Saw this on Jeff Koinange and I almost fell off my seat! Kenya is becoming a joke.Policy and law makers don't agree. One department undermines the other every waking day! How is it possible for the immigration department to declare that Miguna needs to certify himself as per constitution then the other department declare him fit in all manner to deputize Nairobi city? Seems to me Sonko ameshindwa na kazi so he is looking to damp his responsibilities on loud mouth Miguna. That said, I do believe Miguna can deliver, lakini his journey through the swamp will be ridden with obstacles and he will no doubt tread on many toes!
