Kenyans Online Fume as Nyali MP 'Moha JichoPevu' Endorses DP William Ruto's 2022 Presidential Bid

Kenyans on social media have expressed their disappointment with Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali alis 'Moha Jicho Pevu' after the legislator endorsed Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

Speaking when he accompanied Ruto to a fundraiser at Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia county on Sunday, the first time MP threw weight behind the DP's bid to succeed President Kenyatta.

Ali noted that the 2022 elections will be peasant's time to take over the leadership of the country.

 "Politics is not for the monarchy where leadership rotates around members of the royal family. Peasants like us will also have to produce a leader. How many will support Ruto? Thank you. 2022 will be time for William Samoei Ruto," the former investigative journalist said during the event.

However, a section of Kenyans on the Twitter hit out at the youthful MP, who presented himself as a voice of the oppressed in the past.

Former presidential aspirant Mohamed Abduba Dida hit out at Ali noting, "Moha has turned out to be an embarrassing disappointment. His campaign was based on giving hope to the people and promising to take Jicho Pevu to the Parliament."

 "At some point, he even said that his only enemies were Uhuru and Ruto. Ironical how he now supports DP," he tweeted.
