President Uhuru Speaks after Monday's Supreme Court Decision Upholding His Re-election

President Uhuru Kenyatta has spoken following Monday's Supreme Court decision that upheld his reelection in October 26th repeat elections.

In a statement issued by State House spokesman Manoah Esipisu on Tuesday morning at Harambee House in Nairobi, the President-elect reassured Kenyans of his commitment to uniting Kenyans and initiating a national healing process during his second term in office.

Uhuru further pledged to serve all Kenyans despite their political inclinations, and to develop all parts of the country.

"The President would like to assure all Kenyans, those who voted for him and those who did not vote for him, that he will be their President," the statement read.

Uhuru further expressed his regret over violence and disorder that occurred during the electioneering period and assured that his government will protect every Kenyan and their property.

"It is the responsibility of the President to protect citizens and their property," Esipisu noted.

During the press briefing, Manoah confirmed that more than 40 countries had sent messages congratulating President Uhuru on his re-election.

On Monday, six Supreme court judges unanimously dismissed two petitions challenging October 26th poll and upheld the reelection of President Uhuru.

"The court has unanimously determined that the petitions are not merited. The petitions are hereby dismissed. The presidential election is upheld," Chief Justice David Maraga said.

The President will take Oath of Office at a Swearing-in ceremony to be held at Kasarani Stadium on Tuesday, November 28th.

Uhuru (like his father) will NEVER serve all Kenyans (especially Luos). Instead Luos like Evans Kidero a.k.a Tom Mboya, Raphael Tuju, Rachaelle Omamo and Miguna Miguna (who voted for him on 8/8/17) will Serve Uhuru (not Uhuru serving them).

Countries can not wait to congratulate you after observing the hip hopping opposition lunatic in Kenya as he tried to destroy his own country. They are now lining up to congratulate the son of Ngina thanking their lucky stars for seeing the light.

Mhalisi you are right, these wazungus are two faced people. They only serve their interest. They wanted a piece of Kenya and their stooge as unable to deliver and now with sheep skin they want to pretend they are all for Uhuru but they only care about their special interests. I loved how Moi used to call them out on their hypocrisy. Just watch how they are celebrating Zimbabwe because they know the resources exploits have just been opened up. I hope the new leader will not fall for it ..

How will you be the president of people who never voted for you .By force pende tusipende .Are you seeing what is happening in Zimbabwe do not think the same cannot happen in Kenya.People are tired and the fact that Maraga dismissed the petition ati it had no merit did not change anything.Kizungu miingi yet it appears the decision was made in a hurry after receiving a bribe.People are tired and will continue to make their voices heard your swearing in will not change anything

Elections are over, the supreme court has validated Uhuruto's win.Now let put behind any need to seek another president till 5 years from now. Its time to rally behind our president.Lets make his job easy by working together as Kenyans of one family, and should there be disputes,as in any family, lets not pull pangas and spears to settle them.Lets use the court house.Na hiyo ni maendeleo.
