NASA Give Government 24 Hours to Reinstate Raila, Kalonzo Security Details or Face Mass Action

National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders have given government a 24-hour ultimatum to reinstate security detail for presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka or face mass action.

The opposition outfit made the demand despite denials from the police service that the security officers assigned to the two had been withdrawn. “This is not negotiable! Should anything happen to our any of our principals we shall place blame squarely on President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto,” warned Orange Democratic Movement Chairman John Mbadi.

Speaking in a press briefing at Orange House in Nairobi on Tuesday, the leaders expressed their disappointment in the government terming the move to withdraw the security team of Raila and Kalonzo as a move to intimidate them against the planned anti-IEBC protests. “The right to picket is enshrined in our constitution…we will exercise our rights without fear or intimidation,” asserted Mbadi.

The leaders further claimed that they have learned of a plot by Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria, to disrupt their peaceful demos using the outlawed Mungiki group. “We did what is required by law and gave notice to the police and we expect them to provide is with security,” said Mbadi “We shall not be intimidated… and we are ready to pay any price for this” he added.

National Super Alliance President Candidate Raila Odinga in a press briefing at his Capital Hill office condemned the withdrawal of his security. He said Kenyans are his security and he is not worried about it.

"Nobody has informed me on the withdrawal. I woke up and found the officers had been recalled,” said Mr Odinga.
“However my security are the people of Kenya who we will stand with irrespective of the circumstances.”

These suckers (Raila and Kalonzo) do not need security. They have their own army. Why do you need security if your intent is to destroy the same country providing you the security. Raila said his security is the people; so, leave it that way.

When you bite the hand that....so 'protects' you, repeatedly, you insult the Government of the day and people of Kenya.... When you continuously keep the country ungovernable for months on end, you slap the people of Kenya, the taxpayers, on the face....yet your businesses are running, your life goes on, you have no pressing financial problems, you can afford to go to hospital outside the country, you eat and sleep protected, security everywhere you go, then what are you telling Kenyans? You just want to prolong the pain, loss and desperation that Kenyans are in... You do not deserve any protection!

JustMe. RAILA has the Best PERSONAL Security Detail in the World; the Best for His PRIVACY too.
For EXAMPLE: When some Rwandese/ Burundian Gang had been Hired to Trail and Hurt/ Assassinate Raila while he was the in US (not very long ago), it was Raila's SECURITY Detail that TIPPED the FBI and the Bastards were Taken Out before they did Raila harm. Case in Point: Raila does NOT Really NEED Government Security; and it's because Government Security Could be MOLISH and INVASIVE of Raila's Personal Space and Security.

Democracy means, government OF the people, FOR the people, BY the people. Uhuru has finally turned Kenya into a dictatorship the way Kipkorios Toroitich Arap Moi and Jomo Kenyatta did for 39 years!

Uhuru, when you address your elder brother Raila in your mother tongue, you normally call him, " kimundu giki." That's hate speech. That's not the way you address your elders.

Actions speak louder than words. You have set a very bad example in Kenya by your constant use of insulting language in your public speech. I am still waiting for you to apologize to the judiciary and the people of Kenya for your use of hate speech when you called the judiciary " wakora." Please have the moral courage to do and say what's right 24/7.

However when he falls on the warm protective bosom of @Guest 1, he looses his good senses and talks of Toroitich all day long. Can't help but pick killer Rao's side.Hana msimamo.

It is their right to have security. They are presidential and vice presidential candidates. Jubliee and Uhuru is over-reaching I remember clearly one or should I say the most important role that this kamwana of yours does not have is the ability to hire or even fire anybody because he is merely a seating president and NOT president elect or president in waiting. Who gave the order to have their security withdrawn and why was their security withdrawn.Jubliee cease and desist with your intimidation you are not the ruling party more like the party known for stealing votes.

My favorite song goes something like this" dam the river upstream and you will tame both the cowardly frogs and the ferocious crocs" and surely " the thorny ever green tree by the river banks will dry up". Men of words are spurned by action and men of action are spurned words. Take such actions and let the chips fall where they may. Power can only be transferred but not erased like a pencil mark. Until that sword of power change hands by the handle; the holder of the handle is in-charge big time.
