Uhuru: Raila is Tribal and Divisive

National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential flag-bearer Raila Odinga is a tribalist, propagandist, divisive and is stuck in archaic politics, President Uhuru Kenyatta has said.

Speaking on a campaign trail at Chaaria market in Imenti Central constituency, Meru County, the head of state urged Meru residents to turn out in large numbers on Tuesday and help him send the former Prime Minister into political retirement.

“Don’t allow him to destroy our good legacy of development with his bad politics, propaganda and division. Let him go home,” Uhuru said.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader has made significant inroads in Meru region, and experts warn that he might seize a sizable number of votes despite the region voting religiously for President Uhuru in the 2013 general elections.

Uhuru highlighted some of projects carried out by his administration in the Meru region, terming the reason why he deserves another term in office.

“We have bought Sh800 million equipment for two hospitals in Meru to bring services closer to the people. We also brought equipment for a technical training institute in Central Imenti,” he said

Uhuru said that he remained committed to offering paid internships to university and technical graduates for one year.

During the tour Gatobu, an independent candidate in the governor race heeded to pressure from Uhuru to step aside for Jubilee candidate Senator Kiraitu Murungi who will face off with the incumbent Peter Munya for Meru governor.

“I’m happy Gatobu agreed to step down and support Kiraitu. We will give Gatobu a job in the government. When Kiraitu and I retire, we will ensure Ruto and Gatobu work together,” Uhuru said.

Gatobu said, “Uhuru has never denied me anything that I have ever asked him. I will work together with Uhuru, Ruto and Kiraitu to ensure we uplift the lives of residents.”

Uhuru, have the courage to examine yourself and look into all the important appointments that you and Ruto have distributed among your two communities before you challenge anybody else!

In case you have forgotten, Kenya is made up of more than 40 distinct micro-nations but you two have chosen to ignore the rest of them.

History will not be kind to you and Ruto.

@hekima if you wanted a job you should have asked. Be informed there are very few people of the two tribes in gava as Raila has made you believe.

The Article in Nation Media titled:
"Uhuru Kenyatta: From millionaire playboy to Kenyan president" describes YOU Uhuru as (and I quote):

"He drinks too much and he is not a hard so worker."

Meaning that:
YOU (Uhuru) are a Hard Drinker and LAZY.

Today's oppressed, tomorrow's oppressor. During the struggle for independence, my Gikuyu brothers and sisters cried loudly to the world, " they were oppressed by the British."

Fast forward: Today, they are our new oppressors! Kamau wa Ngengi called the British, " wabeberu!" The Gikuyu have recruited the Kalenjin and both are our new Wabeberu!

Uhuru is a billionaire! How can he be a one while surrounded by a sea of starving and dying beggars?

Hekima/Guest1, I think we ought to look past the ukabila excuses. Personally, I don't support either as I feel they have embedded old core values that need to be fazed out. Kenya needs fresh innovative minds and these two oppositions are part of a problem not solution to the ills of Kenya. I just pray for peace and harmony whatever the outcome. Home is home.
