Blow To Peter Kenneth as Campaign Team Abandons Him For Mike Sonko

Nairobi County governor candidate Peter Kenneth has suffered a major blow after a section of his campaign team ditched him in favor of his arc-rival, Nairobi senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko.

The youth campaign team led by Peter Kenneth's Youth and Operations co-coordinator Jackson Aluda, popularly known as Sammy Boy, wrote to the former Gatanga MP notifying him that they are no longer members of his team.

In the letter, the youths stated the reason for their quitting Kenneth’s camp as quit his wanting to secure the Jubilee Party agenda in Nairobi. "I hereby wish to tender my resignation as the Youth and Operations co-coordinator at Peter Kenneth Secretariat," the letter states.

"My decision results from the fact that a few weeks to Jubilee party primaries all contenders for the race to oust the incumbent had a gentleman’s agreement to support whoever wins the ticket. This was for the sake of party unity." He added.

Kenneth lost to Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko in the race for Jubilee Party ticket for Nairobi County, results that Kenneth contested, claiming that he was massively rigged in the shambolic elections.

Kenneth ditched the President Uhuru’s party and opted to contest for the seat as an independent candidate and will face Mike Sonko, Orange Democratic Movement’s Evans Kidero and former Raila Odinga Adviser Miguna Miguna (Independent) in the August 8 elections.

By the way, is this the same man (sonko) who escaped from jail before serving his full time in the Shimo La tewa prison? This man has shady business practices and should not be compared to his clean competitor Ndugu Kenneth!

Long live the City of Nairobi without Kidero or Sonko as the next governor of Nairobi.

PK is stupid , why he thought he can go against jubilee and Sonko in Nbo is beyond me. My own mother who was PK supporter told me the other day that he is dull and does not know how to engage people

@Kenya. Thank you for your comments. Could you please shed some light on what you termed, " Looting 20 billions from Kenya-RE?"

IF THE ANTI KIDERO VOTES ARE SHARED AMONG SONKO, PETER KENNETH AND MIGUNA NJUGUNA THEN KIDERO HAS A CHANCE TO WIN. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED IN 1992 FOR M MOI TO WIN. THE ANTI MOI VOTES WERE SHARED BETWEEN MATIBA, KIBAKI AND JARAMOGI GIVING KENYA ANOTHER FIVE YEARS OF NYAYO ERA. A GENUINE OPINION POLLS WILL SHOW THAT SONKO IS THE MOST POPULAR AMONG ALL THE CANDIDATES INCLUDING KIDERO HIMSELF. SO PETER KENNETH AND MIGUNA MIGUNA ARE KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY KIDERO'S PROJECT. OTHERWISE I CAN BET WITH MY SKIN THAT KENNETH OR MIGUNA WILL NEVER CAPTURE THE NAIROBI GOVERNOR SEAT.
