Kobe Bryant's Second-Born Daughter Gianna Maria, 13, Also Dies in Crash that Killed Her Father
Former NBA superstar Kobe Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter Gianna "Gigi" Maria-Onore also died in the Sunday morning helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and four other people on board, TMZ reports.
TMZ reports that Kobe, Gianna and three other people who have not yet been identified were on their way to the Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks, California for a basketball practice when the crash occurred. Kobe’s wife Vanessa was reportedly not among the passengers in the chopper.
The Sikorsky S-76 helicopter in which they were flying was reportedly owned by Bryant, who loved flying choppers.
The crash happened around 10am Sunday.
Bryant, who was 41 years old, played for 20 years in the National Basketball League (NBA), all with the Los Angeles Lakers where he won five championships. He retired after the 2015-2016 season.
Gianna Maria-Onore was Kobe’s second-born daughter with this wife Vanessa. The couple had four daughters, with the youngest just born in June, 2019. Kobe and Vanessa got married in 1999.

Yo'll Kenyans with mental illness need to start seeking help. Stigma is only stigma if you entertain it. Last week, one I suspected to be "off" (he had chewed nails to the nail-beds, looked strung out and misplaced for a person of his profession). Only to reveal later that he had a mental illness, something I asked about the first day. I am certain s/he is not getting treatment and is self medicating with cigarettes and women and booze. Now this one: So, we are to believe that this one is Natalia Bryant's friend's come to update a Kenyan online rag!
