Kenya's Mary Keitany Wins Fourth New York City Marathon

Kenya's Mary Keitany has won her fourth New York City Marathon title in five years after she led her compatriot Vivian Cheruiyot to a Kenyan 1-2 finish on Sunday.
Keitany has clocked 2 hours 22 minutes and 49 seconds, just 18 seconds shy of the 2:22:31 record set in 2003 by Margaret Okayo
London Marathon champion Cheruiyot has finished second after clocking 2:26:01 while last year’s winner Shalane Flanagan of United States has won bronze in 2:26:22.
In his fifth attempt, Lelisa Desisa has led his Ethiopian counterpart Sharu Kitata to a 1-2 finish to win the men's race in 2 hours 05 minutes and 59 seconds. Defending champion Geoffrey Kamworor of Kenya has finished third in 2:06:26.
The winners in each race will pocket Sh10 million each while the first and second runners-up will take home Sh6 million and Sh4 million respectively.

Kenya's Mary Keitany went to New York and brought back a title and some hard earned $$$. She made Kenya proud.
The boy in statehouse went to New York with a whole retinue of joy riders and idlers. The trip was paid for with taxes and all he brought was more debt. Kenyans are not proud.
