I'm Not a 'Mpango wa Kando': Laikipia Woman Rep Catherine Waruguru Defends Her Marriage to Lawyer William Kigen

Laikipia Woman Representative, Catherine Waruguru has defended her marriage to lawyer William Kigen.

In an interview with KTN, Waruguru set the record straight that she's legally married to the lawyer contrary to claims out there.

The Jubilee lawmaker further insisted that she is happy being a second wife and dismissed those criticizing her for being in a polygamous union.

“Nobody should take the role of God…I will challenge my good friends. Most of them I know they are married and they have their marital wife or husband but wakona mpango zao."

“You will realize that I am better off if I know this is the man that I want to be with. I would like anybody to challenge me and tell me whether if I am casted to go to hell because I am married as a second wife. Allow me to be grilled and asked questions by God. Let no one play the moral police,” said Waruguru.

She said polygamous marriages are recognized in the constitution and urged young women not to be afraid of being married as second, third or even tenth wife.

“I love my husband. I don’t need to kutangatanga…Somebody else’s husband is their husband within the confines of their home. Mzee ni wako kwa boma akishaatoka, take care of yourself and choose what you want. The constitution allows it."

“If you feel you have the energy, you are free to marry a second wife. We need you,” she added.

From Biblical Point of View: It takes WISDOM to Judge people, Manage people, or Make Judgements). And this is Why King Solomon asked God for Wisdom "so that I may Know How to Judge My People."This is Why it would be Poor Judgment to NOT Snatch a Person out of Burning Fire in the name of "Do Not Judge". Or does it mean the Judges in Courts "Do NOT Judge" or should NOT Judge"? Of course not! Case in Point: We Naive cum Shallow Christians have bern Misrepresenting the "Do not Just lest... (in the End of Which we have NOTORIOUSLY given Offenders, Sinners, or Ourselves an Easy Passes or "Off the Hooks" (to our Demise or Demise of other Peoppe). No Wonder the CHRISTISN Community is the Most DEPRESSED Butch in the Universe!!! yet REbuke (Judge) is Better than REgret; Prevention (Judge) better than Demise; Prevention Cheaper than Cure.

@mkenya.I have wondered the same.Usually a man married goes after a younger woman then dates her.At this point iam sure his wife would not be happy about mzee having a girl friend.Next step is the wedding bells ringing, and goats, sheep and cow head to the new inlaws. The exercise is repeated for each additional mpango.

Why all this screaming Waruguru? This is a sign of insecurity. If you are happily married you do not need to tell people or approval from anybody. That is yours alone.

There is not much happening for the women and youth in Kenya but now you are indulging us in polygamous talk like anyone cares. Stop whining go to court if you think you have been wronged.

Why is this woman with her pedestrian language skills irritating Kenyans? Be married all you want, but were you sneaking in a hotel room? This 'women rep' post needs to go.

Madam you bold and that's real leadership, those who have hidden relationship and a lot of mipango ya kando are those complaining. Encourage us and keep on telling off your critics. Polygamy was there before and even in the Bible only those selfish individuals are against it
