Gospel Singer Reuben Kigame Formally Launches His Presidential Bid

Gospel singer Reuben Kigame has officially launched his presidential bid ahead of the August 9th elections.

The veteran musician unveiled his State House bid in Luanda, Vihiga County on Saturday.

Kigame, who is also an author, kicked off his campaigns at the Musinaka Primary School in his home county where he was welcomed by area residents in traditional song, and dance.

The Enda Nasi hit-maker first declared his interest in the presidency last year, pledging to serve all Kenyans equally if elected as the country’s fifth president.

"I will be President for all. My priority would be to ask, have they eaten, do they have medicines, do they have jobs? They are the first human before anything else. I believe in protecting life from conception to natural death. This is not only biblical. It is also constitutional according to article 26,” he told Spice FM in an interview last July.

He added: "I am a Christian but presidency implies I must serve everyone equally and fairly. I will be a President also for Muslims, Hindus, atheists, and so on. All need servant leadership.”

Kigame has through his 35-year music career released 29 albums. Some of his popular hits include Huniachi, Enda Nasi, and Bwana ni Mchungaji Wangu.

Every Tom, dick and Harry want to be president with a personal agenda to steal just like DP Ruto! Kenyans are tired of thieves! There are too many poor Kenyans barely living from hand to mouth!

This guy doesn’t even know what kenya needs to develop the economy! Nonsense!

Kenyans are not tired of thieves! Hey really loves, adore and worship them. They only hate and talk ill about them but come election time... and their memories are totally erased clean...they campaign and vote them back shamelessly.
The day they will turn their talks into action is the day I will believe they are tired of thieves.

Reuben you may have good ears but you need someone to be your eyes. Thieves in Kenya especially one Samoei Ruto need someone who can see clearly. They will steal everything including your plate of food while you eat at State House. Lazima ukae macho, tena sana.

Ruto's claims of holier than thou has rattled religious feathers. It's encroachment on the Good Word. Gospel is fighting fire with fire!

Confusion? May God help this brother fulfil his calling. Mca or MP would be appropriate for this light weight politician
