Unvaccinated Kenyans to be Denied In-Person Government Services

Kenyans seeking in-person government services must be fully vaccinated, the Health Ministry has said.

Speaking on Sunday, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said anyone seeking such services will be required to show proof of vaccination effective December 21st.

The services include KRA services, immigration services, hospital, and prison visitation, NTSA, and port services.

"Nobody said vaccination is mandatory, but if you want government services you have to be vaccinated," said Kagwe.

Transport sector workers including drivers, conductors, boda-boda riders, pilots, and air hostesses are also required to be fully vaccinated and carry verification proof at all times.

Travelers from European/American countries must also provide proof of vaccination before entry into Kenya.

The Health ministry in collaboration with county governments and other stakeholders will undertake a 10-day mass vaccination exercise from November 26th. This is part of the government's efforts to achieve its target of vaccinating at least 10 million people by year-end.

Although petitions challenging mandatory vaccination have been filed, Kagwe argues that it is improper to allow inoculated people to entertain the risk from the unvaccinated.

"What the courts cannot do is to force somebody who has been vaccinated to entertain a person who has not been vaccinated....so it is not the law that we want to use but it is for you to know what you need to do as a citizen," he said.

He says 95 percent of all those hospitalized from COVID-19 in the country and around the world are un-vaccinated.

I thought the Bill of Rights says it clearly that every person has the right to freedom of conscience. It also states that no person shall be compelled to act, or engage in any act, that is contrary to the Person's belief or religion.

In this case, if one believes the vax is not good for them to take it, that's their belief & conscience. Hence,it shouldn't be forced on them.

Also, it's okay to be skeptic about something that just got thrown in from the lab, you don't know what it's made of or it's side-effects in the long-term. I won't eat that! You can keep the services.

Then what's the essence of having the constitution!!!

In saying that "What the courts cannot do is to force somebody who has been vaccinated to entertain a person who has not been vaccinated" how are they sure they're actually vaccines & not poisons/ evil stuff from high places!

A quick look at the wikipedia profiles of some of the folks promoting this shows they only believe in science & in no religion . Tufungue macho.

This from last devils agenda meeting between Biden and uhuru. Dumping vax on Kenyans. Antichrist trying to come out before his time. Even science doesn't support this. Death rates in Europe 29pc USA 46pc Africa just 6pc.. Millions of deaths they predicted in Africa never happened. God is watching

Absolutely right. Even the US itself isn't issuing an all- out vax mandate like Jamhuri is doing. America only introduced a requirement that firms with 100 + employees, either see to it that their workforce is vaxxed or tested. Kenya is inching closer to becoming a dictatorship.
Kenya's electorate should scrutinise the pres. candidates' ideologies to see if they align with the govt. of the day, before voting them in, so as to avoid this from re-occurring.

This man is crazy and very idle. You should be known as minister of Covid-crap! Yesterday you announced covid death of 3 people and 22 covid positive out of a population of 45 million. In fact, 4 people died of traffic accident along Nyahururu road- one more than your covid nonsense. Kenyans are not children that you should order at whim with your extra judicial edicts. Educate people on ways to protect themselves against covid. But not threats about their lives and livelihoods.

Mimi sikubaliani nawe hata kidogo.
