KNEC Says MP Oscar Sudi’s KCSE Certificate is Fake, Index Number Belongs to a Bob Onyango
The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) says Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi’s Form Four certificate is forged.
A Nairobi court on Tuesday heard that details on Sudi’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) document contradict the records in its database.
Testifying before magistrate Felix Kombo, the head of records and archives at KNEC Nabiki Kashu said the MP’s certificate bears the code of a different school and candidate.
The KNEC official told the court that the index number on the said certificate indicates that Sudi sat for his KCSE exam at Highway Secondary School in Nairobi in 2006.
But the examination body’s records show the index number belonged to a candidate named Obaje Bob Onyango, who wrote his KCSE exam at Parklands Secondary School in 2006.
She further testified that in the 2006 KCSE examination, there was no school registered by the name Highway Secondary School.
“There is no possibility of two schools sharing a code number during a given examination. Similarly, there is no possibility of two candidates sharing an index number,” Kashu told the court.
“The purported copy of certificates presented to Knec for authentication purposes is obtained from a forged document.”
Sudi, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto, is charged with forging a KCSE and a diploma certificate, which he claims was awarded by the Kenya Institute of Management.

I was a teacher at Highway Secondary School, South B, for more than 15 yrs. KNEC says there was no school in the name of Highway Secondary School registered in 2006! What happened to this school? Did it change it's name?
