Peris Muthoni - Daughter of Freedom Hero Dedan Kimathi Has Passed Away
The family of the late Kenyan freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi is mourning the death of his daughter Peris Muthoni.
Muthoni passed away at the weekend following a long illness, according to her family.
In a message of condolence to the family of the freedom hero, President Kenyatta described the deceased as a cheerful person and a strong pillar of the family.
Kenyatta also lauded Muthoni for taking close care of her mother Mama Mukami, the aging widow of Kimathi.
“It is unfortunate that we’ve lost Muthoni Kimathi to the cruel hand of death at a time when her family, especially Mama Mukami Kimathi, needed her the most as a close caregiver,” Kenyatta mourned.
“Muthoni was always beside Mama Mukami Kimathi, taking care of her and ensuring she is well attended to. Her death is a big blow to Dedan Kimathi’s family, especially to Mama Mukami, and I pray that God gives them comfort during this difficult period.”

May Muthoni Kimathi rest in peace. It is very sad that Kimathi's daughter has died not knowing where the remains of her father are or were burried by our colonizers.
As long as we do not know where he is burried our history remains burried in an unkmown grave by our colonizers. Luckily, we are slowly but surely reclaiming our names, culture, religion, and all that was dismantled by our oppressors.Until we find the remains of our hero's and burry them with honor, our land will remain a curse to us and posterity.
We have colonizers who are still burried on our land as their (colonizers) hero's while our heros are burried in unknown grave or possibly in prison- still in chains
It is time to question what happened to our hero's.
What happened to our history?
Why were our heros labelled terrorists by the colonizers and we went along?
Time for truth is on the horizon. When we will call our heros, what they are- heros and terrorists will be called what they are- terrorists.

She has gone to meet her father as we remian in darkness where they buried his body . may God give her family strength to come into terms of their loss . It is high time Uhuru demanded from the britishers to disclose where the buried him . This is the most precious present he can give to His aged wife Mukami> Uhuru remember you would not be president if Kimathi did not start the movement we would still be a colony probably or many more dead and you might not even be in the picture . pls ask your friend Boris to disclose where or what they did with Kimathi body it is the right of his family and us kenyans can go and join in paying tribute to our HERO
