Six Police Officers Linked to Murder of Embu Brothers Detained for 14 Days

Six police officers implicated in the murder of Embu brothers Benson Njiru and Emmanuel Mutura have been detained for 14 days.

The suspects were arraigned before Milimani law courts Magistrate Daniel Ndugi, who allowed police to detain them for two weeks pending completion of investigations.

“I agree with the lawyers that this is a matter of great interest. The family members want to know what killed the two Embu brothers, this can only be achieved if the police are given time to conclude investigations,” the magistrate ruled on Tuesday.

The six include corporal Benson Mbuthia, corporal Consolata Kariuki, constable Martin Wanyama, constable Lilian Cherono, constable Nicholas Sang, and constable James Mwaniki.

The bodies of Njiru (22) and Mutura (19) were found at Embu Level 5 Hospital mortuary after they were allegedly arrested by police for flouting COVID-19 protocols.

The two were reportedly apprehended by officers from the Manyatta police station on August 1st after they were found selling pig meat at Kianjakoma trading center past curfew hours.

An investigation by the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) established a prima facie case against the six cops for the murder of the two siblings.

Inspector-General of Police Hilary Mutyambai on Monday interdicted the six officers and ordered them to surrender any government property in their possession, including firearms.

Njiru and Mutura were students at Don Bosco Technical Institute and Kabarak University respectively. They were laid to rest in Embu last Friday.

In Kenya, its investigation after investigation. - After all is said and done, the law of unjust weights will apply. They will hold themselves "NOT GUILTY".An never ending investigation. One thing for sure we are living in the book of revelation and the innocent blood of those boys will surely pursue the officers(Killers)and their families -till death.
God says " Vengeance is mine".
Revelation 13:10
" He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity; He that killeth with the sword shall be killed with the sword- Here is the patience of the saints"
