Robinson Simiyu from Murang'a High School Tops 2020 KCSE Exam as 893 Candidates Score A

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha has officially released the results of the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.
The announcement came hours after CS Magoha presented the exam’s results to President Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi on Monday.
Speaking from Mtihani House, CS Magoha named Simiyu Robinson Wanjala from Murang'a High School as the leading candidate with a mean grade of 87.334.
Wasonga Allan of Agoro Sare High School was second with a mean grade of 87.173 followed by Sharon Jepgeno from Kenya High School with a mean score of 87.173.
Rob Ongare was fourth with an average grade of 87.173 followed by Mbugua Esther (87.113), Kipkoech Mark (87.106), Kenneth Orange (87.049), Henry Madaga (87.046), Patience Chepkorir (87. 046), and Musomba Edith (87.013).
893 candidates scored grade A plain in the 2020 examination compared to 627 in 2019.
A total of 143,140 students attained the minimum university entry grade of C+ in 2020, representing a 19. percent increase compared to 125,747 the previous year.
Out of the 747,171 students who sat for the 2020 exam, only 287 did not receive their results.
CS Magoha said 211 candidates were found with unauthorized materials in the exam room, including 45 mobile phones.
Candidates can get their results from their exam centers or by sending their index number to SMS code 20076.

@ SAMco18, Iam sure you are very happy for your former high school to have the best KCSE score in the country.And rightly so.However,I think to me what's more news worth is that school in Kisii ,that will send all its candidates to Universities,and other institutions of higher learning.I dont recall any secondary school in Kenya ever doing that,though I could be wrong.Anyway,by all account its aheck of an achievement .
