Woman Rep. Gladwell Tungo Loses Husband to Covid-19
Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Tungo is mourning the death of her husband Isaac Cherogony.
Cherogony succumbed to Covid-19 while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Eldoret on Saturday evening, according to the family.
Reports indicate he had been rushed to the facility after developing breathing complications as a result of the virus.
Gladwell and members of her family have since taken Covid-19 tests and are expected to receive their results this week.
The deceased’s home was immediately cordoned off even as contact tracing continues.
As of Saturday, 159 people had lost their lives to Covid-19 in Kenya while the number of infections stood at 7,577, out of which 2,236 have recovered.
