Kenyan Man Dies Aboard Nairobi-Bound Qatar Airways Flight

Police have launched investigations into the circumstances leading to the death of a 37-year-old Kenyan man who allegedly died aboard a Nairobi-bound Qatar Airways flight.

The man was traveling to Nairobi from Doha on a 133-seater Qatar Airways flight of registration number QR 1345 that landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 8:10 am on Thursday, March 12th.

K24 Digital reports that the man whose identity they concealed due to the sensitivity of the matter, was discovered dead after the plane arrived at JKIA.

He is said to have succumbed to cardiac arrest in the course of the 3,351-kilometer journey lasting six hours.

A senior JKIA official said the body of the deceased was taken to City Mortuary by police pending investigations into his death.

“His father was informed about the sad news, and directed to collect the deceased’s luggage,” he said.

Police also questioned passengers who were seated close to the deceased. JKIA authorities are expected to issue an official statement once investigations are concluded.
