Moi to be Laid to Rest on Wednesday in Nakuru County

The late former President Daniel Arap Moi will be laid to rest at his home in Kabarak, Nakuru County on Wednesday, February 12th, his family said on Wednesday.

There will be a state funeral service at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi on Tuesday, according to Tiaty MP William Kamket, a member of the funeral committee.

Speaking on Wednesday, Kabarak University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Henry Kiplangat indicated that another funeral service will be held on 12th February at the university’s grounds before the former president’s final sendoff. Members of the public will have an opportunity to view his body for three days - Saturday to Monday.

Moi passed away on Tuesday morning after a three-month stay at Nairobi Hospital where he was under the care of health specialists.

While announcing Moi’s demise on Tuesday, President Kenyatta said the country’s second president will be accorded a state funeral, with all appropriate civilian and full military honors being observed. He further directed that flags be flown at half-mast from Tuesday until sunset on the day of Moi’s burial.

“Under the authority vested in me as the President of the Republic of Kenya and the Commander in Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, do hereby order and direct that in testimony of the respect in which the memory of the Late Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi is held, the nation will observe a period of National mourning from today until the day of his funeral,” said Kenyatta.

Moi, 95, leaves behind seven children. His first-born son Jonathan Moi, 66, succumbed to cancer in April 2019.

His private home or public land?

There is a dead body buried in the kenya parliament that needs to be transferred to a public cemetery in Gatundu or langanta cementry.

Can’t have dead bodies of serial killers lying around public property that is not designed as cemetery’s.

The Kenyan parliament needs to be demolished and built in a different location.

I have waited all my life to say this::

4 all the suffering Moi brought to Kenyans
4 all the the people he had arrested without trial
4 all the killings he sanctioned in Garisa, Waggalla, kerio valley
4 all the Kenyans he killed like Father Kaiser and Robert Ouko, JM Kariuki
4 all the unknown Kenyans he killed in order to instill imaginary fear
4 all the public land he stole and public funds he stole and Misused
4 all the areas he marginalized and denied government service

Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi May you BURN IN HELL 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Good Bye and Good Riddance to bad trash.

All Moi sympathizers , enablers and supporters can burn in hell too.

I understand your frustration and you have so many reasons to but honestly, how does that help? Moi is GONE GONE GONE and never coming back. Don't you think all that talk is like barking up the wrong tree? It would have made much more sense for him to hear this when he was alive. Bottom line, for whom is all this frustration meant for? Think about it!

I understand your frustration and you have so many reasons to but honestly, how does that help? Moi is GONE GONE GONE and never coming back. Don't you think all that talk is like barking up the wrong tree? It would have made much more sense for him to hear this when he was still alive. Bottom line, for whom is all this frustration meant for? Think about it!

The man spent 4 months fighting for his life on life support: that is hell, me thinks.

He was right there remembering all the people he tortured. The list must have been long; 4 months? Jeso
