Moi to Remain at Nairobi Hospital

Retired President Daniel Arap Moi is still receiving medical care at Nairobi Hospital and will be discharged once doctors give him a clean bill of health.

On Monday, his press secretary Lee Njiru told The Star that Moi, who was readmitted at the hospital 20 days ago, had recovered but doctors want him to build up his energy before he is discharged.

95-year-old Moi has been at the hospital's VIP wing, a homely setup, since he was readmitted on November 9th, just two days after he had been discharged. He is under the watch of a team of medics led by his personal physician Dr. David Silverstein.

"Mzee is still in the hospital but fairing on well. We shall issue a statement on his condition on Wednesday. For now, we only follow the advice of the doctors," Njiru said on Monday.

Moi has spent most of his time at the facility in the past two months after he reportedly developed breathing problems. He was first taken to the hospital on October 12th to undergo what Njiru said was routine medical check-ups. President Kenyatta visited him at the hospital on November 15th, where they reportedly had a lengthy talk.

There are some things you just don't do. What you just wrote is one of those.
Please show some respect and civility. After all, we Africans are supposed to be respectful to their elders. You are not.
It's obvious Mr. Moi is in his last days. Please leave him alone.

MARK 8:36 - 37:
36. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? 37. For what can a man give in return for his soul?

ANSWER: Death; or Fear of Death while wondering who will inherit that which you FRAUDULENTLY or GREEDLY amassed (especially at the Expense of the Poor, Needy, Widows, Orphans, Ailing, Helpless and therefore Vulnurable).

The truth is, in those 30 days he's been hospitalised, there are so many young people who have died unexpected deaths...accidents, like the landslide that's killed 132 so far.....vehicular...sudden sickness ..or sickness; acute or chronic. I mean life is in the hands of God. Who knows maybe this was your last message and you stood up to walk and collapsed...just like that... ukazima..... Be humble.

Ihave always wondered why the health african presidents is always enshrined in secrecy.
It all started with Moi going for regular check up ,followed by afew test, then ok,and recuperating in hospital.Goes home, then comes back a week laterlNow Mzee is in hospital fairing on well.
All these do not tell us much. Why cannot they come out and just tell the public the exact status of his health, and what ails him.Either that.or dont even bring it up...
No president, past,or present is above sickness. We all get sick, suffer, sometimes get well or check out.It happens to all living things.Whether we willingly or grudgingly accept this fact of life we have no power to change it.And thus should not be ashamed when one is sick.No president, past,or present is above sickness. We all get sick, suffer, sometimes get well or check out.It happens to all living things.Whether we willingly or grudgingly accept this fact of life we have no power to change it.And thus should not be "ashamed"when one is sick.

During the days of our grandfathers he would have been taken to the bush and left there for the hyenas.
