Kenyatta University Pharmacy Student Shot Dead in Girlfriend's House

Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident where a Kenyatta University student was shot dead at his girlfriend's house on Friday night.

Felix Otieno, a final-year pharmacy student, had gone to visit his girlfriend in Kahawa Wendani estate when he was killed. 

Reports indicate Otieno's lover was not in the house when unknown assailants stormed the house and killed him.

Otieno was allegedly playing a video game with a friend when the criminals fired twice at him. He reportedly succumbed to excessive bleeding.

Ruiru Police Commander James Ngetich said officers are trying to establish the motive behind the killing of the 29-year-old student.

“There are many issues coming up but we are hoping to unravel the reasons. We need to know who the killers are if they were robbers and why they picked on the student (Otieno),” Ngetich said.

Detectives from the Special Crimes Prevention Unit are assisting in the investigations.
