Kenyan Rugby Player Richard Sidindi Dies in Nairobi after Drowning in Swimming Pool

Kenya Rugby Sevens and Impala Saracens RFC player Richard Sidindi Otieno has passed away in Nairobi.
Sidindi reportedly drowned at the Impala Club's swimming pool on Monday morning.
Impala Rugby Club Secretary-General Charles Mbogo says the fullback had gone for his routine training exercise when he drowned.
“It is with the saddest regret that the Kenya Rugby fraternity and Impala Saracens Rugby Family announce the sudden death of Richard Sidindi Otieno an astute Impala Saracens Rugby Team member since 2011,” Mbogo says in a statement.
The circumstances leading to his drowning are yet to be established since he's said to be a good swimmer.
Nicknamed ‘Real Jadhah Power’, Sindindi joined Impala from Kisumu RFC 2011 and has previously represented the national rugby team, Shujaa.
The Maseno University and St. Mary’s Yala alumnus leaves behind a young family, wife Catherine and daughter Candace.
