DNA Reveals Migori Governor Okoth Obado Fathered Slain University Student Sharon Otieno's Unborn Child

DNA tests carried out on Migori Governor Okoth Obado have confirmed that he indeed fathered slain Rongo University student Sharon Otieno’s unborn baby.
As a result, the Governor has been summoned to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices to record a fresh statement over the murder of the 26-year-old student alongside his wife - Hellen, Daily Nation reports
"There are 99.99+% more chances that Zacharia Okoth Obado is the biological father of the donor of the DNA generated from the foetus that is Sharon Otieno’s child,” the DNA statement reads as quoted by Daily Nation.
The lifeless body of Sharon was found in a thicket near Kodera Forest in Homa Bay on September 4th, two days after she was abducted from a hotel in Rongo town alongside Daily Nation journalist Barrack Oduor.
The reporter managed to escape from the kidnappers after he jumped out of a moving vehicle a few kilometers from Rongo.
Sharon is said to have been in a love affair with Obado, claims that the Obado has since confirmed while denying having anything to do with her murder.
“As a law abiding citizen, I want to state here very clearly that I have nothing… and absolutely nothing… to do with the cruel death of Sharon,” stated the embattled Governor during a press address last Wednesday.
An autopsy report revealed Sharon was stabbed eight times and succumbed to excessive bleeding.
Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor who carried out the postmortem examination also said the seven-month-old foetus that was in Sharon's womb had stab wounds inflicted during the attack.
Emotions ran high during the burial of the unborn baby in Homa Bay last Friday even as the family maintains it will not bury Sharon until her killers are arrested.
So far, police have arrested four suspects in connection to her murder including Michael Oyamo, the personal assistant to Migori Governor Okoth Obado and former Member of Homa Bay County Assembly (MCA) Lawrence Mula

Why wok would he kill his own child? Could it be the wife due to insecurity? But again, if it was the wife, how does the governor's personal assistant get involved?

This story remind me of the mafioso. The governor is the godfather who sent his foot soldiers to do the dirty deeds. The orders were to get rid of the perceived problem to the godfather. His goons did the killing but the mastermind is the governor. Now let's see whether the laws will be applied on the real culprit aka the governor. Wait and see.

For this death to be investigated and DNA results made public shows we have made some gains albeit minute.Lets acknowledge this move is unprecedented but the BIG test is yet to come in court because justice has to be handed to this murderous monster. RIP Sharon and baby boy.

That’s a soulless pos. Ordering the brutal murder of your own blood and their mother. You deserve no mercy. Your goons and yourself should be accorded the same fate you inflicted on the victims.
May mom and kid continue resting with the angels in peace.

Let us be fair, Not guilty until proven guilty. The death of Sharon could be a bad coincidence with the fact that Governor Obado is the father of the unborn and that the aides seem to have a hand in the murder. It may be that the governor indeed asked to talk to both Sharon and the journalist, but the aides acted foolishly in the event that Sharon showed some arrogance when talking to them, and they decided to "maliza' her thinking they will get away with it. Just a thought. Besides, in the event Mr. Obado did not participate in any way with the killing, fathering outside wedlock is the norm in these men or even getting involved in extra-marital relationships.

And why did he need his aides in order to talk with Sharon? They have always met, such as in Kisumu; imperial hotel and in Nairobi. If he involved his goons, then they were carrying out his mission and he will get what's coming to him.

@Mwororo,I am with you on this. All obado is saying is that everyone knew about the affair and the pregnancy. But he fails to mention if he embraced it or not.In sharons death,he would avoid chold support and tension in the house. So her death benefits him.And that makes him suspect number one.Evidence, and motive so far points at him.Nowhere else.
