Kenyan Churches Rebuked for Accepting Corruption Proceeds

Kenyan churches have been placed on the spot for accepting cash obtained from corrupt dealings.
Thirdway Alliance party leader Ekuru Aukot criticized the Church over its silence as billions of taxpayers cash continue to be looted by corrupt leaders.
Aukot, who spoke during the 12th Upper Eastern Region Ecumenical Conference at Gitoro Convention Centre, said instead of speaking out against graft, church leaders have allowed politicians to use their podiums to defend the illicitly acquired wealth.
In his explosive speech during the function organized by the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK), the former presidential aspirant said the church has a role in shaping good leadership in the country and speaking against immoralities such as corruption.
“Politics is a way of life and you cannot convince me that you are not politicians. When you preach to your congregation you talk of them leading a good life. How can they enjoy life when money is being looted?
“I have not heard the church speak up against corruption. You don’t even question why money is being stolen. You must stand up and say no to the corruption that is killing this nation,” he said.
Aukot further faulted NCCK’s call for an amendment to the constitution to expand the cxecutive by creating a prime minister post and two deputies positions. NCCK defended the move, saying it would ensure inclusiveness in government.
Aukotis of the view that inclusivity would be realized under the current constitutional dispensation.
“If the Constitution is followed and the spirit of inclusivity adhered to in the appointment of 22 CSs and PSs, all communities in Kenya would be represented in the Executive. I don’t see the sense in expanding the Executive to serve the interests of a few individuals,” Aukot said.

Church should never be Treated as Business or for Business. And this is why Jesus Christ Whooped some Asses when he Caught some people Doing Business in Synagogue. He was so Pissed off!

The churches need to be audited too. The churches need to explain their income and expenses. They are actually businesses like any other. They were part of destroying our cultures during colonialism. They should not be trusted and especially if they get involved in Kenya's political affairs. Any church found involved in corruption, or affecting our societies negatively should be closed down.

Hapo umesema kweli. We have many corrupt men and women purporting to be pastors but are actually enterpreneurs selling commodity called religion. Their lifestyle should be audited and their flock in particular those who raise red flag audited too. They should also be taxed heavily as Christianity is an imported commodity and an import duty should be paid. Some churches should actually be expelled.

Most of the born again christian need deliverance. To be delivered from all sort of immoralities, corruption and addiction. You hear a politician or pastor saying he/she is saved but he/she is corrupt like hell. Walking to the alter to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior is not enough if you do not leave corruption/immorality/addiction etc behind.

The discussion about religion should not end here. I have read many posts on this issue and they all make sense.
We have seen church leaders blessing and praying for thieves, murderers, and people who should not be walking and dining freely in our nation.
How long is this "religious corruption' going to continue? The church leaders are pathological, incorrigible, and congenital liars. How come? They don't tell their blind and brainwashed followers that, the the so called " Christianity" was born at the time the Jews wanted freedom from their colonial oppressors - the Roman Empire. There is nothing "spiritual" about Christianity. Why then did the Jews turn against "Yeshua - Jesus" the son of Miriam? Because he asked his fellow Jews to pay taxes to their Roman oppressor. He said, "pay to Cesar..." They could not tolerate him anymore and killed him.
I don't understand how someone can spend so many years in school and fail to see the "lies" about these two foreign terrorist religions: Islam and Christianity! These two religions are responsible for the death of our traditions and our disconnection to our ancestors. Baba wa kambo si baba. Dini za kambo si dini zetu.
All foreign religions should be put in the same category of other societal addictions. Being addicted to Jesus or Mohammed is the same as being addicted to cocaine, heroine, and many other mind altering drugs. Praying is a sign of a lost mind. When you have a problem, instead of wasting your valuable time praying, confront and tackle the issue.
Believing in life after death (heaven and hell) is the same as lying to children to believe in "Santa Claus."
Finally, Africans should know and realize that they were not the only ones to be colonized. Indians were colonized by the British close to 300 years. How many Indians have you met called "John," "Margaret," "Susan," or "William?" Why are the Africans global "religious prostitutes?"
It is not too late to erase these foreign corrupt religions that sold our ancestors into slavery. Our fellow Africans sold into slavery are still at the bottom of the society. They lost everything about their African ancestry and yet they have not been accepted as human beings wherever they were sold.
I would like to see all foreign religious cults in Kenya paying taxes. Why? They openly lie to their blind followers to pay 10% of their income to their "fake god" so that they can build hotels and schools which they charge their followers when they come to use them.

I am currently in Kenya and on a recent drive through a particular neighborhood,I counted 7+ churches in less than a kilometre drive. My cousin in Kenya tells me that the magic target to "break even" is 50 active member, mostly women.
