Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria to Bail Out Infamous 'Ikamba' Song Artiste

Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has offered to bail out one of the infamous 'Ikamba' song artiste, who was earlier this week charged with ethnic contempt.
“Njau will not sleep in the cell tonight. My lawyer is already working on the bail out. I also want to say it here that Njau is not among the two artistes behind that song. He is just an extra who is filmed picking a mango from a wheelbarrow,” said Kuria.
The musician, John Gichiri Njau is currently being detained at Industrial Area Remand Prison, after he was unable to raise a cash bail of Sh700,000 granted to him by the court. He was charged with three counts of ethnic contempt.
Lines of the song suggested that the Kamba community will eat dogs and wild birds due to starvation, when the mango season is over.
The song was released following a disputed charcoal ban in Kitui, which led to war of words between Governor Ferdinand Waititu and his Kitui counterpart Charity Ngilu when a lorry owned by a Kiambu businessman was burnt by irate youth in Mwingi for transporting charcoal from the area.

When are the courts going to charge Ngilu. She started all these. Or is she above the law? After all said and done, no one will have any respect for this so called partial imported courts and judges. We will have to go back to our traditional jury courts. Let us trend carefully. I thought this is freedom of expression.

It's absurd how our partial, unethical and inept court's of law jump on regular wananchi like Njau while the likes of Rao, Kalonza, Orengo et-al can abuse and play those same courts like a kayamba with impunity. We should reject this selective justice. The criminal here is Charity Ngilu-but for her ordering kamba youths to burn down charcoal lorries, kamba song wouldn't exist. Besides, where is the insult, Filipinos and Koreans eat dogs happily and birds are edible. This man should have been home pronto. Kwisha maneno!
