Retired President Moi Leaves Israeli Hospital after Successful Knee Operation

Former President Daniel Arap Moi has left Ichalov Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel after undergoing a successful knee surgery.
His spokesman says the retired Head of State is in a jovial mood and was discharged by doctors after getting a clean bill of health.
Moi will tour some holy sites in Israel and the city of Jerusalem before returning to the country soon, his spokesperson Lee Njiru said.
“Mzee has been released after doctors gave him a clean bill of health after check-ups on his knee, which had been causing him discomfort."
"He is in a jovial mood and in a good spirit," his communication team said on Thursday.
Moi was flown to Israel on Sunday on a chartered plane to get a checkup on his knee, which has been troubling him. He was in company of his personal doctor David Silverstein and his son, Senator Gideon Moi.
The discomfort with his knee began following an accident in Limuru in 2006. The accident happened as he was headed to his Kabarak home from Machakos, where he had presided over a graduation ceremony at Scotts Theological College.
