MP Francis Nyenze Shows Up in Parliament for Swearing-in With Oxygen Tank

Kitui West Member of Parliament Francis Nyenze was on Thursday seen carrying an oxygen tank into the National Assembly chambers to take an Oath of Office.

The former National Assembly Minority Leader arrived at around 10am dragging the Oxygen tank behind him, with the tubes snaking up his back.

He conspicuously appeared ill and was limping, dressed on a brave face and greeted a number of journalists at the entrance.

"How are you are friends... mimi pia nimefika (I’ve also made it) for the swearing-in." He said.

Minutes later he was captured hugging and cheerfully greeting his colleagues inside and took the oath, with his voice sounding frail.

It is yet to be established what the lawmaker is suffering from.

Nyenze was re-elected for to represent Kitui West constituency for a third term in the just concluded elections.
