US Increases Fees for Various Non-immigrant Visas

The United States Department has announced an increase for various non-immigrant visas, including business or tourism (B1/B2), student (F), and exchange visitor visas (J).

Effective May 30, 2023, visas for business or tourism (B1/B2) and other categories, such as student (F) and exchange visas (J) ,will increase from $160 to $185. The fee for certain petition-based non-immigrant visas for temporary workers (H, L, O, P, Q, and R categories) will increase from $190 to $205.

The State Department says the increase in costs reflects the rising cost of some fees “reflects the rising cost of the inputs associated with the services provided by consular sections around the world.”
