Police Launch Manhunt for Woman Who Conned Kenyans Sh3.9 Million Over Fake Job Offers Abroad

Police officers have launched a manhunt for a Mombasa woman accused of defrauding more than 40 people out of Sh3.9 million by guaranteeing them employment in Singapore, Canada, Dubai and Saudi Arabia.
On Saturday, June 3rd, the victims divulged their predicament, saying they had been promised various jobs in teaching and security positions abroad. To proceed with visa processing and the purchase of airfare tickets, the targets were required to pay an upfront fee and settle the remainder upon receiving their initial salary overseas. The victims disclosed that they remitted money to the woman between January and March of 2023, but had not heard from her since then.
To deceive them into accepting the offer, she shared pictures and stories about people she claimed to have helped travel abroad for work. When the resident questioned the deal, she made up excuses including her boss being ill hence delays in visa processing. The Kenya Association of Private Employment Agencies denied knowledge of the woman and urged authorities to bring her to book.
"I called her because I was concerned about the process and why it was taking so long, and she told me to wait until the end of Ramadhan. When we started making inquiries, we were directed to file complaints with the police as her partners had swindled us off our money. We were told to be witnesses, but we refused," said a victim.
Police officers said the detectives had started their search for the suspect. The Principal Secretary of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Roseline Njogu recently cautioned Kenyans against falling prey to fraudulent job recruiters. She suggested that they compare job offers from abroad with those listed on the ministry's website to avoid being scammed.
"The National Employment Authority has several legit opportunities. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs too... but with people hunting for jobs, some people are taking advantage of their separation," she stated.

The FEMME FATALE award for…

The FEMME FATALE award for this month unequivocally goes to this female scammer.Again I remind the readers that this a ward is given to any Kenyan female who breaks the glass ceiling so to speak, in the men's world of crimes. In other words she ventures into crimes that used to be a preserve for men ,and does a damn good job,if I may use "good job" to refer to the success, and or gumption of just attempting to do the crime.
Folks,Iam sure by now you have sadly realized that women are not they saintly ,angelic beings we were lead to believe. They can be as conivince, calculated, and manipulative if not purely just hardcore criminals as men.Bad men.
As always after this kind of story I ask," what is going on with our women now days?" It was bad enough back in the day when papa would be send away for afew months or years to feed on badly cooked uji,and beans. It's worse now that mama has to join him... Who will raise the kids, and tell them not to follow "nyayo"?

People are still falling for…

People are still falling for this con even after reading about these stories nearly every week? Also what happened to media houses doing expo-see like what Moha jicho pevu used to do? They are busy interviewing some fools in the morning shows some of whom sound like they have no clue what they were elected to do. These media houses have also hired mediocre journalists who just take everything the mpigs say without questioning them or holding them for their lies. We need more investigative journalism since it can help people see how these criminals work so they do not repeat the same mistakes.
