"Hessy Wa Dandora", the Nairobi’s faceless crime buster has issued a warning to suspects who allegedly attempted to murder former Garissa Finance Minister Idris Mukhtar.
Mukhtar is currently fighting for his life at the Intensive Care Unit at a Nairobi hospital after he was shot in the head by three assailants outside a hotel in Nairobi more than a week ago. Police said the criminals trailed the victim to his car and shot him at close range before escaping without stealing.
One of the main suspects, David Mwai Wanjiku was arrested last week and was locked up at Parklands Police Station cells where he died on Thursday under mysterious circumstances. Police said he hanged himself in the washrooms.
Taking to Facebook, Hessy Wa Dandora said Mwai has been a wanted criminal who operated in Dandora and promised to gun down the remaining suspects who went into hiding.
“The other assassins are still due (3 of them) all from Dandora. Right now tumbo zao zimejaa moto, just moving from Dandora phase 2 to Dandora phase 1 and back,” Hessy Wa Dandora said in a Facebook post.
Last week, Hessy took credit of an incident where five suspected criminals were gunned down in Dandora area.
The faceless police officer first issues warning to suspected gangsters to surrender to police through his popular Facebook page. He then goes ahead to shoot them dead if they defy the orders.
