Kenyan journalist Brenda Kerubo has joined the World Bank as a communication consultant.

Her role at the international financial institution includes building its corporate image, crafting internal and external announcements as well as coming up with marketing strategies.

"I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as a communication consultant at World Bank," Kerubo wrote on her LinkedIn page.

Her appointment comes barely three months after she resigned from KTN News, where she worked as a business anchor and reporter for close to four years.

The award-winning journalist later announced she won a scholarship under the European Union's prestigious Erasmus Mundus program to study a master’s in Journalism, Media and Globalisation at Aarhus University, Denmark.

She previously served as a business reporter and producer at Mediamax Network Ltd and a business writer at CCTV Africa.

Those who live in DC area know working in World Bank & IMF is not a big deal. So many Indian contractors hire people to fill those jobs.
