Kenyan televangelist James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism has divulged plans to set up a state-of-the-art church complex worth Sh2.5 billion in Nairobi central business district.
The building, to be named Neno Towers, will boast features such a swimming pools, hotel with accommodation facilities, shops, and offices among others, according to Pastor Ng’ang’a.
Ng’ang’a, who made the announcement during a church service on Sunday, indicated that the building’s plan has already been approved by the county government.
"I want to build a church complex costing Sh2.5 billion, I have prepared the survey and presented it to county government. I have already paid Sh7 million out of the required Sh12 million," he said.
Further to this, Pastor Ng'ang'a also said he has acquired 45 acres of land in Kajiado, where he has built houses for his pastors.
"I have built pastors houses for preachers and another big one with eight rooms for prayers. Some have underground rooms for private prayers," he said.
Pastor Ng'ang'a said the project is a testimony that God answers his prayers despite receiving criticism from Kenyans and fellow clergymen.
"You have seen my plan, don't think that I have money. I only believe that God will provide and I am praying that he protects me from sickness, getting old and death so that I leave this legacy behind," he told the congregation.
"Those who are saying Ng'ang'a has demons are confused. How can you have demons and own an acre of land here at Uhuru Highway and you who think you are normal don't own even a plot in Mlolongo? Is that possible? posed Ng'ang'a.
